Decent art, nothing spectacular. Who can call this? It's gonna come down to which character you're a bigger fan of. I'm for Wolverine.
GLprime2814 - 1/12/2012, 12:26 PM
@rormachine yeah this is pure popularity contest, it's going to be more about who would really win.
StuckInPanels - 1/12/2012, 12:29 PM
Ah JRJR, your artwork hasn't changed since you did Kick-ass. I seen him replicate Liefeld artwork, he could learn a thing or two again from his JRSR.

I seen this match up cover early when they announced AVX. I like the matchup but I would prefer to see Cap vs Cy
marvel72 - 1/12/2012, 12:29 PM
yeah i like wolverine more than captain america,i think wolverine may have the slight edge over captain america in combat as well.
Shaman - 1/12/2012, 12:29 PM
Worst wolverine i've ever seen in my entire life. What is it with the art on these teasers? Ramos was awesome on Crimson and Campbell has always been at least good. It's like they're all being forced to suck at gunpoint or something.
Wildaniel - 1/12/2012, 12:31 PM
Gotta go with my boy Cap!!!
JDUKE25 - 1/12/2012, 12:31 PM
Yeah, sorry Cap but Wolverine has this in the bag. And that cover is pretty crappy.
RedeyeJedi - 1/12/2012, 12:33 PM
I'm not a big fan of the art, but I am a big fan of Cap, so I'm rooting for him. However, Wolverine has got this one I think.
SageMode - 1/12/2012, 12:35 PM
I've never really cared about JRJ's artwork.
Anyway, I thought there was already a cover of Captain America vs Cyclops. And I guess Wolves is siding with his X-Pals. I could honestly see either one of these two taking the win IMO. Cap is a more disciplined combatant but Wolves has a physical advantage.
RedeyeJedi - 1/12/2012, 12:35 PM
@Ror- What's the new avatar from? It look's familiar.
jazzman - 1/12/2012, 12:35 PM
@marvel72

not just that mofo got claws he can cut Cap head off game over for Captain America LOL
plasticman - 1/12/2012, 12:39 PM
Are we sure this isn't fan art? I am really surprised with the poorly drawn covers that we have seen from such a major event.
spiderneil - 1/12/2012, 12:40 PM
romita jnr's art has gone to the dogs. that drawing couldn't have more than half an hour to draw.

best covers so far:
storm v thor - coipel
colossus v thing - keown

the rest of the covers have been terrible
TheStranger - 1/12/2012, 12:40 PM
Obviously it's a draw, neither one of them would actually kill the other, they're too good of friends, and both are the best at what they do. Draw through and through!
spiderneil - 1/12/2012, 12:42 PM
I'm going to pass on all the issues that JRJR draws
SageMode - 1/12/2012, 12:43 PM
Much better art......

InFamouslyCool - 1/12/2012, 12:45 PM
Wolverine.
ClosetNerd - 1/12/2012, 12:47 PM
His artwork literally makes me angry. What could be a great comic event/fight looks like a child's coloring book. I still haven't recovered from seeing Finch's cover for WW Hulk and opening the book to find Romita's art....ANGER!
duncboy - 1/12/2012, 12:49 PM
What terrible artwork...how does this guy get paid for that type of cover art? No joke at all - I can and do draw better than this...and I'm stuck in a cubicle all day everyday :(.
Shaman - 1/12/2012, 12:51 PM
People praise JRJR's art in Amazing Spider-man when it was the one thing that made me drop the book in the first place. I just can't understand why there are so many much more talented artists on DVA that can't get a job at Marvel while he's being published all over the place. His dad had all the talent in the family.
MartianSupermanhunter22 - 1/12/2012, 12:53 PM
CAP FTW!!!!!! Gtfo wolverine!
marvel72 - 1/12/2012, 12:55 PM
i liked john romita jr art on the uncanny x-men & daredevil back in the 80s/90s also thought world war hulk was pretty good as well.

@ 0SageMode0

the original cover to captain america annual 8 by mike zeck, which i own :)

is f*ckin fantastic.
DravenWayne88 - 1/12/2012, 1:00 PM
yuck! that art work is atrocious! lol
GForce7 - 1/12/2012, 1:01 PM
OH MY GOD....... That art work SUCKS ASS
DravenWayne88 - 1/12/2012, 1:05 PM
its like Wolverine's saying *In Michelangelo's voice* "Yo Cap its party time bro!" and Cap's like "Nah man, I just wanna get some sleep."
SageMode - 1/12/2012, 1:09 PM
@marvel72:

spiderneil - 1/12/2012, 1:10 PM
back in the day late 70's/early 80's jrjr was amazing but he is terrible now, absolutely terrible.
I stopped by avengers because I couldn't take his art anymore
cypher - 1/12/2012, 1:15 PM
U know what really pisses me off. How cap always gets the better of wolvie in the comics. Wolvie has been fighting & been active for way longer of a time than steve. James is a super spy ninja warrior with bulit in weapons. Mr. Howlett all the way.
poop23 - 1/12/2012, 1:16 PM
Not liking the art
cypher - 1/12/2012, 1:16 PM
And with all the praise jrjr gets. I thought I was the only person who didn't like his art. Lol, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one.
marvel72 - 1/12/2012, 1:19 PM
@ 0sagmode0

thanks mate, look at that uk cover price £0.40p annuals cost £3.30 nowadays.

i miss those 80s comic prices you could get 9 comics for £3.60 back then.
spiderneil - 1/12/2012, 1:23 PM
it's annoying that JRJR is the main artist for this event rather than coipel
bathead - 1/12/2012, 1:24 PM
I think they put aside they're beef and beat the hell out of John Romita Junior and Senior (Senior just for good measure)
