Since 2002, Free Comic Book Day has celebrated the diverse world of comics, with retailers being supplied a treasure trove of free titles to give away to customers. It takes place on the first Saturday in May -- FCBD will be held on May 2nd in 2015 -- and is one-and-done event that attempts to get new readership through free stuff. Everyone loves free stuff, right? Well, the release details for all of the comics on offer for next year's event, and below you can check out what DC and Marvel are putting out. Both are publishing a Gold-tier book, with Marvel's focusing on the Battleworld of Secret Wars, and DC's being far more cryptic... though the issue won't be fully unveiled until February, it's widely speculated it will tie-in to Convergence. You can check out all 50 books here, but for now, below are those Marvel and DC details...

Hopefully the DC secret is that the New 52 is going to end soon. I would like to see the best parts of the New 52 merge with the best from the Pre New 52.

@BlackIceJoe

I thought that the point of the New 52 was that it already kept the best parts of the established continuity... Is that not how that worked out?

If by best parts you meant Batman and Green Lantern then yes.

Why is it so hard for dc and marvel to have an in continuity books? I get that they try and it is hard but all the writers should be having meetings and if they wanna use another character then they should coordinate with the other writers so they know what's going on. I'm reading Batman, Batman Eternal and Arkham Manor and there all supposed to be in Canon along with detective comics and Batman and robin. All these stories should run together. I'm reading Daredevil and superior iron man, how come iron man hasn't been mentioned in daredevil's book? Come on man!

So Avengers is going to renumbered again? Why do Marvel have such a hard on currently for renumbering their books?
