The unlettered preview tells me little, nor does it show any hint of the spectacular.

Love the use of old school Spider-man in there but seriously getting tired of how every comics that comes out these days claims to "Change the Universe for years to come"

Seeing Otto and Peter's memories is just Marvel pouring more salt into an open wound.

God, this comic pisses me off just by existing.

The last panel of Page 2 is honestly incredible, with all those retro-esque subpanels scattered inside it, but Dan Slott is by no means critically acclaimed. Stegman is a great artist, though. Sometimes a little too cartoony for my tastes, but he always delivers.

Dan Slott will probably kill Spiderman 2099.

Yes, the Spidey comics these days have weak kung-fu; the only one I think is consistently good is Ultimate Spider-man....

I wouldn't be opposed to 2099 being the new regular Spidey.

What bothers me about this series is ock was never that successful as a villian and now is basically smarter and better than everyone. This is a Ock comic . Everything about Spiderman is gone from this comic.

Miguel better kick the living shit outta Ock. I'd prefer an actual Spider-Man to have the mantle over a [frick]ing villain.

Ock becoming Spidey was the best storyline that's been done in a long time. Parker just needs to stay dead for good. No more clones or other retarded story lines.

So a old fat man with a bowl haircut running around as Spiderman and a girlfriend for a munchkin is any better?
