COMICS: 'Peter Parker' Gets His Marriage Back In AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: RENEW YOUR VOWS

The events of "One More Day" wiped the marriage of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson from history, but Dan Slott and Adam Kubert's Secret Wars tie-in Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows will revisit that relationship. Why is it being billed as "The Last Spider-Man Story"?

Entertainment Weekly has unveiled the first artwork and details about Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows, a story set in the altered reality of Secret Wars featuring a Peter Parker with a wife (Mary Jane Watson) and child. Writer Dan Slott wasn't willing to give too much away - the full interview can be find by clicking on the link below - but did have this to say about what fans should expect. "You haven’t seen Spider-Man’s classic villains the way you know and love—I wouldn’t be surprised to see Eddie Brock as Venom in this story. Or Sergei Kravinoff as Kraven the Hunter in this story. There’s going to be a lot of bullets in the gun for things you wanted to see in a Spider-Man story that you haven’t seen in a while. This is the ultimate classic feel. This is the last Eddie Brock story. The stakes have never been higher for Peter Parker because he’s never had so much to lose. So he has never been this close to the edge. And these are the Last Days." While you won't need to be reading Secret Wars to understand the story, it could have major ramifications for what the Marvel Universe looks like following the event. Will Peter and Mary Jane be together again? "What I can tell you? No matter who or what or how Spider-Man comics will be made in the future—elements from this story will go on into the next incarnation. Elements. Of this. Yes."
