COMICS: Popeye Takes "Action"

Popeye the Sailor is making his comic book comeback thanks to IDW, and to celebrate the publisher has issued the cover for #1 which is definitely designed to pay homage to Superman's debut in Action #1.

nice homage to a classic cover.

So is this book's contents brand-new adventures of everybody's favorite spinach-advocating sailor or is this reprints of old Popeye strips from back in the day?

I dont consider it ripping off, in times like this almost everyone has seen that cover before, its the most iconic Comic cover ever. When companies do this I think its purley and simply homage

Popeye has to be considered as one of the strongest in all comicbookdom.

Wonder how long until they remake the movie. Probobly will have Seth Rogan as Popeye and Jessica Alba as Olive Oyl and the Rock as Bluto...
