And why is Bane working with the Court. I thought they were a pretty tight knit group with you know everyone not knowing they existed.

As soon as the words "BIG" and "Bat-Villain" are in the same sentence it's pretty obvious it means Bane

I'm curious to see how Bane will be portrayed in the New 52. I loved him in Secret Six. Please dont screw up another fan favorite character DC.

Bane thus far in the new 52 has been ok. He made his first return in "The Dark Knight" series and beat the snot out of Batman, would didn't beat him till near the end of the issue in which he just knocked him off of a cliff into the river below. As for the court hiring him, I think it's because they know that first, "Talon" in a loose end, and second, it's a test. If Bane bests Talon, they'll probably give him anything he wants to take down Batman after what he did to their court.

the court of the owls is the best addition to either of the big two in the past 10 years. they are so freaking cool. they're like the Bane of this generation, a new villain that fits in perfectly with the batman mythos and with all of the other rogues.

YES! BANE!

I hope they reverse the hack-job that was done to the character in Batman: The Dark Knight. Nolan gave us a Bane with brains AND brawn, so I'm sick of comic writers thinking Bane is nothing more than a pile of muscles. There's no excuse now, people-- it's time to stp being lazy with the character.

Thankfully, James Tynion IV is a pretty awesome writer, so I'm sure he'll give Bane his due...

Also, I'm digging the classic look/Dark Knight Rises composite costume. That mask always looked awesome in the comics, so I'm glad they didn't change it, but the rest was always kinda plain looking, so this is a step up, IMO.

Bane fuxing sucks.

Almost literally a booksmart Zangief in S&M gear.



The fact that Bats doesnt grapple gun off the catwalk away from him in TDKR is my least favorite part of the whole movie.

Hell ya! Been waiting for Bane in the new 52! (that shitty The Dark Knoght version was [frick]in B/s) Snyder's is writing so I am even more stocked for this issue! Bane is a great villain who really has only shined in Knightfall and The Secret Six... I hope Snyder is setting up Bane for a future story arc... Also, I personally LOVE his new look! Bane def needed a redo on his costume, and the best I've seen prior to this and TDKR was the Young Justice version. Glad to see an amalgation of the classic and film!
