In an interview with IGN, Batman: Greg Capullo talks about Death of the Family. If you notice in the bottom right we see Alfred beaten by the Joker with a crowbar. We all see a Bat-Family reunion with everyone there and I mean everyone.

I must admit I was a bit apprehensive when Jason Todd returned as I'm old enough to remember his first run but there is so much more to him now but will always be behind nightwing and tim

What?!?!? But why? What is the point of this story? They'll all just be alive, a few years later. I thought The New 52 was supposed to avoid convolution.I mean Batgirls up there walking around when the Joker has previously shot her and crippled her and Jason Todd is up there after the Joker has killed him with a crowbar and blown him up, so why should we take any of these events seriously? I mean, really, it's gonna have a world without Jim Gordon or Alfred?! I don't think so. They'll be back up there with the rest of them in a few years, just with their convoluted backstories to add to Barbara and Jason's.
I can see it now, Alfred and Red Hood talking, in the Batcave, about how they've both been killed by the Joker, before.
Poor Joker. He's not very good at killing or crippling people, really, is he?

ManOfSuperguy@ Nope, he' supposed to have killed Jason and crippled Barbara in The New 52, as well. It would've been a lot smarter of them to just erase A Death in the Faily and The Killing Joke from The New 52 continuity, but they really donn't know what they're doing at DC, at the moment. Lots of last minute decisions and playing things by ear, no commitment.

I read where you're coming from, but can't agree with you. Batman was one series that simply needed to erase Morrison's run to avoid complicating things, but they didnt, and thats fine. For the majority, everything happened but in a condensed time frame. You dont expect batman to be 70 do you? So think of every story being a different night. Just restructure what you've read.

If you were reading the books, you wouldnt be complaining. Batgirl has one of the best Bat-Family books, because she can walk, which actually DOES happen in real life with physical therapy. Alfred wont die but if you've read this month's books, you'd know he'll NEVER play poker again. Dont get me started on how Batgirl's story will now go.

In short, you're complaints are valid only from a perspective of ignorance.
