Interesting. I must say, regardless of whether these controversial prequel are a good idea or not, I am looking forward to seeing what origin stories they have come up with for the characters. Ozymandias #2 is written by Len Wein with art by Jae Lee, and hits shelves in August.

Not the biggest fan of the prequel decision.

But these creative teams can't be beat, and I don't want to miss out on something that may be huge in it's own right.

Veidt is GAY?????? To think all this time I just thought Rorschach was making a joke about Veidt's liberal ideas and his extravagant style. Well, thanks for setting things straight guys. I'm really glad I was the only person in the room when I read "possible homosexual".

This actually makes a great deal of sense for the character of Adrian Veidt.

The original Watchmen showed clearly that he had a fascination with expanding his horizons, both mentally and physically. We know that he took drugs in the far east and that he frequented Studio 54.

For him to be interested in exploring the "darker" side of sex make is both reasonable, in keeping with the era, and utterly within the established bounds of the character.
