DC has cancelled three more titles (along with Justice League International) in order to make way for the four new books announced last week. However, these three will still be getting their own #0 issue. Read on for details.

Last week we got our first look at The Phantom, The Talon, Sword of Sorcery and Team 7, all of which will be a part of DC's upcoming third wave this September. We know exactly which titles are going to be cancelled to make room to those four. The books will be Voodoo, Captain Atom, Justice League International and Resurrection Man. While Justice League International last issue is going to be in August, the other three will have their final issues during the "#0" event in September.

The first three were pants. But, yeah, Resurrection Man was awesome enough. The oreiginal series was cancelled too soon, also. Third time lucky, I guess.

I have a feeling we will see a lot of "DC Cancels" in the next few years. More to do with movies they are claiming they will make than with comics though.

Underperforming comics no matter how good or bad are still underperforming. DC is clearly trying to limit the amount of titles it has out. Whether the titles getting canned lacked quality or not is irrelevant.

So it begins. Bring back the real DCU, not this 90s rehash BS

Shame I liked Voodoo, my guess anyone saying it wasn't good didn't bother to actually read it. Which is why it is getting canceled. *shrug* Oh well. Though I will say I don't like DC keeping the monthly titles (Not including Mini Series.) capped to 52 because every time they announce new ones it makes me nervous for what in my pull list just got canceled. But I can't fathom why Hawkman, Deathstroke (1-8 was awesome Liefield killed the title for me when he took over.)and Grifter are still alive.

What they are doing is good business sense. They knew from the door that many of their titles would fail. But being the out of touch entity they are they had to test the waters with new titles to see what would work and what would not. They are a lot like network TV and it is just time for the new series.

I think the bigger news is Batman meeting up with Superman in the "Smallville: Season 11" series.

Gave up on DC a year ago... had no interest in the Reboot/Rehash/Restart of the New 52. At this rate maybe there will be a New New 52 in a year or so when start over a again.

All they had to do was bring in a new writer and
artists for JLI. Make it witty like the 90's
JLI, not cancel it.

I for one really don't like this NEW 52. I hope
the whole thing dies!

The only good thing in the NEW 52 is replacing
MARTIAN MANHUNTER with CYBORG in the JL.

Why don't people like the New 52? I LOVE IT! Sure, I don't like that they cancelled Action Comics when it was so close to reaching #1000, but I'm not going to complain. I didn't read any of these titles so its not that big of a deal. As long as they don't cancel Animal Man, I'm good.

I predicted that both Voodoo and Captain Atom would be cancelled in this wave. While I haven't been reading Voodoo, I have been reading Captain Atom, and it has it's good issues and bad issues. It's really no surprise people weren't liking it.

With any big venture there will be casualties, and the New DC52 is a massive and risky venture. All in all it hasn't been bad, i feel bad for Capt. Atom, I have always liked the character from his Charlton days. I read a few issues after the reboot, but in my estimation they don't know what to do with the Capt. With the way he was being written I thought he would end up with Stormwatch eventually instead of the JLA. Take him back to his superhero roots, he's too good a character to waste .

wow. these were all actually pretty good. resurrection man in particular is just as solid if not better than most mainstream comics out there.

oh well. i knew they would be reshuffling like this. I think the NEW 52 moniker is smart in the sense that it allows them to continuously cycle titles in and out in order to keep the number at 52.

that's really too bad about resurrection man. a really, really cool character and well written comic.

How did these four get a title beFore Shazam? It's almost like DC is afraid he may succeed. That short trash in the back of the JL is totally disrespectful. More Shazam now!!!!

@Gmoney84 DC stands for Direct Current. Apparently the wires were crossed at one point and its now producing AC or alternating current.

So basically a year on from the original release of the 52 and DC still clearly have not got things right which is resulting in all these cancellations...

They should just stick with the basic premis of a superhero comic and not try all this new out of the box crap!!!

DC you're failing!!!

Damn shame, Voodoo was one of my top pics. Best art i've seen in the entire New52. Story was simple but still good. Made me think of Tekkaman Blade a lot.

JLI is NOT getting cancelled due to lack of sales. Its cancellation plays a part in the JL thing coming up during Trinity War.
I figured the other titles would be cancelled though. They are pretty good but only needed to introduce those characters. Now they can make appearances in other books. No loss.
But overall I dont think this is a fail by any means. 10 out of 52 books that are getting replaced by new comics to keep the public interested? They are being stricter with sales numbers to maintain a certain level of Return on Investment.... This is called strategy
