It looks like only Jim Lee can make Supes' new suit look awesome. On the other side, [frick]ing hell the art work is good! Really enjoying the variety of artwork of this relaunch and picking up way many more titles than i expected initially

definitely on the pull list ... the penciling is rad, not sure about inking, etc. i dunno, i think the art has a kind of rugged, amateurish quality that works. all the DC New 52 "dark books" (the gray DC logo) have been tits so i gotta give it a shot.

@darkknightlegend so far, lee is the only one that made it look like an armour. Superman wearing an armour is just dumb.

@thespiderman209 yeah, sure: Dark Avenger = Evil "copies' of the heroes. JL Dark = magic related characters...

Same thing...

The dialogue is TERRIBLE!!!! Do they have to point out the obvious EVERY TIME?! 'That smell...it's...it's insane' (Eh???) Filthy flying teeth.' (Good, I'm glad you noticed) 'Something's happening.' (No $#!+) Superman, you're being cut to ribbons!' (I never would've figured that out) All sarcasm aside, it's a little campy.

They took Superman's 'spitcurl'? I'm not the hugest Superman fan, but that's going a bit far (yes, I know it's a minor detail). Since when does Superman need body armor, either? I thought Martha Kent came up with the costume.
