FLASH FACT: The war between the Amazons and the Atlantians has arrived. The battle between Diana of Themyscira and Emperor Aquaman will tear this world apart – unless The Flash can fix it! Because of its impact on the DC Universe, FLASHPOINT #5 is the only title that DC Comics is soliciting in this catalogue to arrive in stores on August 31.

[frick] this SHIT. [frick] the REBOOT. I want a new CRISIS to UNDO all of the BS that Geoff Johns is doing to MY DC UNIVERSE. Not reading another DC COMIC until a CRISIS fixes this SHIT.

let me guess, Tom Wayne dies, Flash sacrifices himself to set it right, ends up undoing most of the changes, but the small differences end up as the in universe reason for the reboot. The current Flash dies in the reboot universe, but, obviously, since in the reboot universe none of this will have happened, they will have their own living version of the flash.

Batman was interesting again when Dick Grayson took over. Then, Flashpoint showed us Thomas Wayne as Batman, and that was cool, too. Now that Bruce is back, he's boring again.

@AdamWarlock if you feel that strong about it you should apply for a position at DC ... maybe get your foot in the door and meet the right people and pull some strings. It takes the passion of the people that love the characters to make things happen. I personally like Johns' stuff.

I'm really starting to like Thomas Wayne batman it's like the punisher. I won't mind if he dies as long as its in a bad ass heroic way like using a cool move to impale zoom and him on something, just bold.

Really looking forward to the relaunch. There are a few characters I'm REALLY looking forward in getting into (Hawkman, Etrigan, Aquaman)

Also, awesome cover.

@MrNoFear DC Top Ten comics are just multiple iterations Batman and GL with the occasional crossover. It's even less varied than Marvel whose Avengers, X-Men, Thor, Cap can fill the Top Ten slots.

Also of course Marvel is less reliant on primadonna writers. DC has Johns and Morrison. Marvel has Brubaker, Waid, Rucka, Ellis, Hickman, Pak, David, Fraction, Aaron, Remender, Loeb and Bendis.

Don't put this off just on Didio. Johns is is joined at the hip with this relaunch which is
a response to the fact that comic book readership in general and DC readership in particular is in decline.Look, the biggest sellers last month was 1.Fear It'self (about 95,000 copies sold and 2.Flashpoint(86,000 copies sold)Back in the day,(the 80's and 90's)it was routine to move 500,000 copies of major titles and a million during high demand periods such as when Batman (1989) was in theaters. This is a hail mary pass to try and get younger readers into comic books before the industry dies out.

The final comic before the relaunch. Sadly that also makes it the final DC comic I will buy.
