@BattlinMurdock

I'd definitely have to concur.

The only thing that CERTAIN New 52 comics has over (most, only MOST) marvel comics is their artwork. This is sometimes ten-folds better than some of the art for the AvX storyline...

Once again the Black Green lantern on Trail. How many times has this happen? I like John and happy to see him in the lime light but come on now, again.

Is DC becoming racist?

Do remember, they killed the white man (Hal Jordan) first years ago. Guess that was ok. But when something happens to a Black member, there are rants of racism. Where was that when Hall died?

DC copying Marvel? I thought it was the other way around.

So with the new 52 is John Stewart Earth's Green Lantern also?

Again I hate his name. I immediately see the Daily Show guy in my mind in green tights.

I doubt the death sentence is racist especially in context of the fact there are dozens and dozens of actual races in the Lantern Corps.

I have no idea how this story emerged but it seems Stewart willingly confessed for some reason and isn't fighting it. There must be a lot more to this story line

@PaulRom Marvel from the start took Superheroes and gave them flaws and humanized them. DC has been recently copying that it seems but doing it poorly in many situations.

marvel & dc aren't exactly copying each other, every comic company wants their version of superman so they use that basic template.

make a character that can fly, super strength & wear a cape & his automatically a superman rip off.

both companies have created so many characters over the years it would be pretty much impossible to create an original character.

Jesus Christ, stop with all the is it racist? Are they copying Marvel? Tell me how this is copying Marvel. If anything DC is copying themselves. Just last year John killed Mogo. Now he's offed another lantern. John Stewart has been put through the ringer numerous times. That's nothing new.

This isn't the first time John has been put on trial for doing what he had to do. It's not racist. It's his character .

Also, I wish they would give Guy the costume he had in Young Justice.

Racist? Really? How stupid to say that. Hey lets never make a black man die or be the bad guy because that would be racist. Doesnt that whiny garbage get old? EVER?
What kind of WONDERFUL storytelling do you want then? Hell you even KNOW Stewart isnt dying. But hey lets WHINE abiout racism IN EVERYTHING even when it doesnt exist in what your crying about. Let it go already. That card isnt going to work forever

some of u are really getting on my nerve

all characters from different race end up dying and come back again.
Tevii
Tevii - 6/17/2012, 12:23 PM
You want racism in comics? Then it's in the changing every white character and making them black trend. That stupid crap wouldnt work on changing black characters white like Black Panther. The uproar from the black community would stop that. But the double standard that is the US has everyone trained to accept when they eliminate a white character and make them black.
But does that stop the crying? Of course not.
But now they have a cool storyline about a cool character doing something that his character would really do, and now its racist. wah wah wah... boo hoo. You want a story where John Stewart is the smartest guy in the universe, he takes over the Corps because he's just too good to be just a member.. etc... Get real MORONs. Bad things have to happen to characters to create DRAMA. Something for the character to overcome. Its not racist idiots, its storytelling
REDSTORM
REDSTORM - 6/17/2012, 12:28 PM
Maybe we should just drop the whole racism argument right now before it gets even uglier.
