It was announced yesterday by DC Comics that the regular Aquaman creative team of Geoff Johns and Paul Pelletier will be taking a break next month. This means that the publisher obviously needed to find a replacement for them and that will be writer John Ostrander, along with artists Manuel Garcia and Sandra Hope for a fill-in issue which will put the spotlight on The Others. "In this issue, as the Scavenger compiles more Atlantean weaponry and artifacts, Aquaman enlists the aid of The Others to help find one missing relic in the Southwestern United States before his enemies can get to it. The issue also introduces a new member of the Others," reads the updated description of the issue. Johns' comments on returning in June and the new cover (by regular artist Pelletier) can be found below. How do you feel about this news?

Didn't think it could be done, but Johns has actually made Aquaman pretty damn cool to read now.

When Geoff leaves the book I'd be very pleased if John took over full time.

One of the best consistent series of the new 52! Right alongside the flash, batman and wonder woman!

I'm a huge fan of Ostrander's Suicide Squad. This should be a treat.

Aquaman is my favorite new 52 comic by far! It'll be a sad day when Geoff stops writing it. When they make a movie it needs to be based off this version and nothing else!
