I want Kyle Rayner back.

This big push for Hal Jordan the past decade or so is an obvious failure, please stop trying to shove Hal Jordan down our throats and let us have the Lanterns we actually want.

I'm a pretty big fan of Geoff's Green Lantern Saga (for lack of a better word), but all of Green Lantern needs to go back to a simpler place. Aliens that aren't just recolored humans and interesting and unique cultures.

Things are getting real. To think that the Guardians are the biggest enemy in the universe right now.

I never realized Guy took such an approach to combat. He speaks just like a cop, probably because he was one.

I agree with xavier, im so tired of hal jordan and barry allen. Bring back wally west and kyle rayner. Gl and flash arent up there with batman and superman, if they were, then the characters wouldnt be so easliy interchangeable.

Man those guardians.............love how they got a nice uncorrupted set in jail.

Love every Lantern except Hal in the comic verse. In the animated series he works very well. But in the comics.......he's a loser with a ring. The only time he was worth a damn was when he was evil. Really I think he's a victim of Kyle being my lantern for the 90's/00's and then John usurping it in the 00's. And then a victim of being very one note by the end of it all.

They just haven't demonstrated that Hal Jordan needs to be the Green Lantern now. Hell Guy has basically been doing all the heavy lifting while John shifts between emo and badass. Kyle is just kinda here and there between being Super Lantern and Peter Parker.

Hal just sorta comes in at the end and shows everyone what a human being can do when very desperate(aka DEUS EX MACHINA). It didn't help that Sinestro took him to school on basic constructs.

But again in animation they have Hal Jordan figured out(ie don't make him a loser but really your normal guy).

What are the guardians motivation for creating a new universal police? Was the lanterns a disappointment? Is there a new bad guardian convincing them to do this? I just dont understand.

Seconded. Kyle Rayner's the best GL in my opinion.
and I enjoy Guy Gardner. He's such an entertaining douchebag.

In my opinion:
Kyle>Guy>Hal>John>Baz

They should lose John Stewart as Green Lantern. Steven Colbert would be better as a GL

The guardians are dicks!!! Always have been...I can see exactly where this is going to end though...

Eventually Hal and Sinestro will escape the chamber of shadows and either rally or usurp the power of the first lantern to their cause and destroy the third army and destroy the guardians...

Then with the Lantern Corps being leaderless the other immortals that were guarding the chamber will take over as the new gaurdians and be more just and caring as they still retain their emotions...

Comics are just so predictable these days...nothing is ever surprising...

...oh and obviously the usurption or alliance with the first lantern will result in his escape...leading into the next story arc "Wrath of the First Lantern"

@XavierLehnsherr "This big push for Hal Jordan the past decade or so is an obvious failure." I hope you know that doesn't make any sense right? Since Hal came back, GL has become one of DC's best sellers in comics and graphic novels.

@sinsear912 @cartman87 Bring back Kyle Rayner? Uhh.... he never left, and he currently stars in his own book (GL:NG).

Seriously some people on this site are so stupid. LOL
