Earth-2 confusing as ever, and where is black superman, unless he gets an original name that's what he'll be known as. So sad...

So wait, is Earth-2 the Pre-Flashpoint DCU?

@AC1

Nope, its got some elements of the old continuity like the heroes being around for 15+ years, Ma & Pa Kent still being alive but the big difference is the only heroes around before the present day crop were Batman (bruce), Superman (clark), Wonder Woman (diana) and Supergirl & Robin on this Earth.

In issue 1 the trinity gets killed freeing the planet from Darkseid, this issue takes place before that happens.

His name is Val-Zod and this takes place 5 years in Earth-2s past while the original heroes (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman) were still alive before they died during the war with apokalips.

Multiracial Bisexual Spider-Man

Thanks @ekrolo2 I forgot it's 5 years in the future (never was a big fan), the only thing I like about Earth-2 is Powergirl's look and characterization.

@Superman8:

There is alot of good stuff coming out of the New 52. I feel like people have refused to read it, simply because they are still emotionally attached to the Pre-52 DCU. They are not giving a fair shot to try anything new.

Sure, mistakes had been made in the beginning of the relaunch, but you have to keep in mind, they were just starting out, rebuilding the DCU. They've been doing alot of awesome stuff, especially for the past couple of years.

Earth 2 is by far my favorite Dc comic. The story keeps getting better!

How does killing the Kents make Superman a better character? Oh yeah, they want to make him more like Batman. "Only one pair of dead parents? Why not two? And make his costume uglier while you're at it."

All of these alternate earths is bullcrap. What's wrong with telling a cohesive story?

What...in...the...F*&K?!?!?!

Growing up Earth 2 was invented (yeah, I'm old) as a rationale for the classic heroes not to age...to tweak the bios slightly to match a new age - then it spiraled into several other Earths, each with a more convoluted reason for existence...usually centered around characters that time forgot (some for good reason!)...then it all collided and died in the Crisis series...now its back...and it seems more stupid than ever!

The original Earth 2 was cool - had the JSA, an aged Supes, Bats married Cats and retired as Commissioner Wayne, Huntress was born, Robin grew up to be...Robin in a better costume, and on and on...

They killed Flash to snap it all together and ever since the stupid Superboy shattering things (and bringing Jason Todd back to life with a cosmic bitchslap) in one of the dumbest storylines ever...now I must tip my hat to DC...they did what I thought was impossible...they made an EVEN DUMBER storyline!

Kudos.

Yay! A return to the pre-flashpoint universe. Probably the launch point of a new Crisis on Infinite Earths. Lets get confusing all over again.

What on earth are ya'll talking about. E2 is NOT a return to the pre-FP DCU. Part of the push for the New 52, is that there are 52 earths. It's been like that since day one.

The New 52 E2 has very little to do with the pre-52 version. For one thing, the new E2 is basically a shattered world.
