EXCLUSIVE: Mark Millar And Frank Quitely's JUPITER'S CHILDREN Renamed JUPITER'S LEGACY

Writer Mark Millar (The Ultimates) has today told us that the title of his and Frank Quitely's (Batman and Robin) Jupiter's Children has been changed to Jupiter's Legacy. Find out why after the jump, as well as the new cover for issue #1.

Mark Millar has previously described Jupiter's Children as an epic tale on the same scale as the likes of Star Wars or The Lord of the Rings. Both he and co-creator/artist Frank Quitely are in fact so protective of the Image Comics series that they are closely guarding the movie rights until they find someone who will do it RIGHT. Well, we have today learned that the comic will now have a NEW title when it's released next Spring; Jupiter's Legacy. So, why the change of name? Well, the explanation is a lot simpler than you may think! "We just preferred it when we were playing around with finished logos and decided to tweak the title while we still could," the writer told us exclusively earlier today. "The front cover will now look as below, out in April from Image Comics and priced at a very lovely $2.99. Artist and co-creator Frank Quitely and I are very proud of this little superhero epic and look forward to taking all your money next year." In a year which has seen the release of such superb Millarworld comics as Hit-Girl, Supercrooks and The Secret Service, it's fair to say that Mark Millar will have no problem leaving us all broke in 2013!

Never read the book, and I'm not really a fan of Frank Quitely's art. Not really good in my opinion.

I have to say, if epic saga is their aim on par with LotR and SW, then that cover fits the bill much more than the more comicbooky and slightly garrish original cover.

This one looks like something you'd see on the front of a fantasy or sci-fi novel.

I seriously do not think dickbelt is Grif. Something does not sound the same. It's like the person is trying too hard.

I liked Jupiter's Children. It's got a ring to it. Jupiter's Legacy? Very forgettable. Jupiter's Children already sounds like a classic.
