Daredevil End of Days #4 Brian Michael Bendis & David Mack(w)
Klaus Janson, Bill Sienkiewicz, Alex Maleev(a) Alex Maleev (cvr)

The mystery gets deeper and deeper this week as Ben Ulrich i seemingly turning up empty at every lead. This week, Bullseye and Frank Castle are the main targets of Ulrich's investigation but these encounters raise more questions than answers. The art here takes its ques from Frank Miller although its finessed with an acid-tone psychedelic harshness that fits Daredevil to a 'T' but wouldn't be right for any other character.

All New X-Men #5 Brian Michael Bendis(w) Stuart Immonen (a)
Stuart Immonen (cvr)

The week of Bendis continues in All New X-Men #5. Beasts' plotline appears to be wrapped up which should allow the focus to shift to 'My Two Cyclopses." We're most likely heading towards the inevitable confrontation between the two while teenage Jean Grey has learned everything that's destined to happen to her as she grows older. Her reaction? She's runs away from Cyclops faster than you can say 'My bf slept with my clone.' Also, Wolverine (jokingly?) threatens younger Scott Summers that he could just kill him now and none of the events of AvX would happen and Professor X would be alive. But shouldn't Logan know that time traveling simply creates an alternate timeline i.e. 'Age of Apocalypse'?

Amazing Spider-Man Dan #700 Slott(w) Huberto Ramos (a)
M.R. Garcin (cvr)

Since the idea is to keep these reviews short, I'm just going to focus on the main story from Slott. Coming in to this issue, I must admit I'm not a fan of the body swap plot device but this was one of the better written of recent issues for ASM. Particularly, the scenes with Mary Jane and the final conflict between Peter and Octavius had a delicate touch that Slott rarely chooses to use. The art of Ramos is of his usual quality but some of the panels that highlighted the face of the dying Otto were downright confusing.

I wouldn't be mad if more titles were like End of Days.

finally got time to read amazing spiderman #700 i was very disappointing. with the tripe being spoon fed to us by both marvel and dc my pull list has gotten smaller. gone are justice league, nightwing and most of the ultimate universe. i really enjoy scarlet spider and green lantern, but images shining lights 'the walking dead' and ' invincible' keep the comicbook magic alive for me

@ dilusso

you should checkout "saga" from image i think that was the best image comic of last year & quite possibly the best comic out of the big three.

Ramos' art is really poor. So bad I find it off-putting.

Mary Jane was a total moron in this issue. She has know Peter since high school and she doesn't find it odd that he's calling her "woman" and not talking like he normally does? She has been horribly written since One Moment In Time.

Also, Ramos' art is terrible. If his work was on a cartoon, maybe it would be passable.
