Netflix continues to create separation between Marvel (Disney+ will be the new home of Marvel Television) and DC (the Arrowverse shows are expected to make the jump to DC Universe and forthcoming Warner Media streaming platform) with adaptations of lesser known comics like The Umbrella Academy, Locke & Key and Warrior Nun

The streaming platform has doubled down on titles from Mark Millar's Millarworld comic book imprint with television adaptations of Supercrooks, American Jesus, and Jupiter's Legacy in various stages of development. Film adaptations of Empress, Sharkey the Bounty Hunter and Huck are also in the works.

On the TV side, Jupiter's Legacy is furthest along, with Josh Duhamel, Ben Daniels, Leslie Bibb, Elena Kampouris, Andrew Horton, Mike Wade and Matt Lanter set to star. Per Deadline, Tenika Davis is the latest addition to the cast. Davis will play Petra Small, the second generation Flare (the first generation is pictured above) and daughter of the original, played by Wade. In the comics, The Flare has a son named Peter.

Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus, Daredevil, Pacific Rim: Uprising) is serving as showrunner and will direct the pilot.

No one has heard of Jupiter's Legacy. If I were Netflix, I would create a superhero univerese around the pulp heroes of the early 1930's like the "Masks" comic sereies, teaming the Shadow, the Spider, the Green Hornet and Kato, and Zorro.

@Forthas - I thought Interstellar was "unreal" so I will definitely enjoy the new movie.

@NinnesMBC - Seems like it is about time travel. I believe in Christopher Nolan so I will probably wind up seeing it like five times before all is said and done.

@NinnesMBC @Forthas - I always try to respect other people's opinions, and never judge them or argue with them when they disagree with me or I disagree with them, but people who think Interstellar wasn't a masterpiece of storytelling, photography, acting and music hold a special place in my heart. Right next to Cardi B, food poisoning and paying taxes.

@Asturgis - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Interstellar. The hauniting music, cinematography, and acting is second to none. I did have a minor problem with the third act (I understand whatthey were trying to do) but it takes you out of the sense of realism in the film, but that said, the worst Nolan films are better than 99% of all other films.
