It's the same as the armored suit that debuted a few issues ago, but without the helmet, I think.

Ummmm, not sure about this new look. I don't hate it, but yet I just don't know how I feel about it. He definitely looks better with a full mask, though. :)

It's just the armor from last issue w/o the helmet since doc ock can control the armor through it. It's not a permanent look.

It is indeed his recent Sinister Six armor just without the helmet. I'm not sure why everyone is hating on this so much, if you actually read the book, it's a good read, and everything makes sense, yaknow, IN CONTEXT.

well, maybe we should like a superman who is the most powerful hero of all time. when each threat is either kryptonite, or some mental thing, no matter what he can just punch his way out. That is why there are sooo very few good superman stories, its hard to write good stories for a "god" who is stronger than anything else in the known universe.

Spider-man is great because he is the average kid that reads comic books. Just some Nerd who happens to get superpowers, he has more crap going on in his normal life than in his super hero life. So many comic book fans can completely relate to peter parker. He isn't the most powerful or strongest superhero, he has to use his smarts alot to get out of bad situations. That is what makes him gerat.

did you even look at those panels? It's pretty clear that They are fighting a Doc Ock robot while the real Doc Ock watches the fight via video monitors in a different location. It wouldn't do any good for Widow to shoot it in the head.

The story behind Doc Ock's appearence is compelling if you would read it.

To everyone saying Doc Ock looks stupid...what would you prefer? That short little fat guy in green suit with a bowl haircut and senior citizen sunblocker glasses again?

This is the best Doctor Octopus has ever looked.

Marvel you need to STOP getting any old costume and wacking a spider on it's chest then making a comic book called Spider-Man...

How many Spider-Men are in this Universe...

Bring back the Original Peter Parker and Peter Parker only and stop doing a disservice to the character simply for a money grab...

It's a suit to battle the sinister six, same as last issue, he has to ditch his helmet because doc ock hacks into it at the end of the issue...still Peter Parker, and a worthy read.

Well I'm guessing from some of the comments that most aren't reading amazing but I am and I'll give you a little synopsis.
Doc ock sent a lens into space and using it to stop global warming, and is "giving it to the world" but spidey knows better and spent 6month making the armor that has counter messures to stop the sinister six, the helmet he was wearing was used to controll the suit remotely like voice activated web cartridge reloads or changing it to electro or lead webs using dock ock own tech but dock ock had a counter for it and shut the suit down with one command, so spidey takes off the helmet an what you see in the images is what's going on to date.

And I've noticed from reading batman and spiderman that spidey has shown more gadgets and toys in the last 6 month than batman in the last year.

The suit is cool but uncovered spidey face? No. Just no. That is so counter to his whole aesthetic. Peter's biggst concern with his costume is hiding his identity, revealing a good chunk of his face like that just does not fit. Not to mention the mask is basically just Iron Fist's without the lenses...

So not a new look, thats the mask under the helmet of the armored look. I lile that Spidey has all these new suits. It makses sense. He should be kinda like the Batman of Marvel. He should really start thinking ahead and using his head more in conjunction with his ablilities. ALso having the AVengers ties has really broadened his horizons. He's no longer the fish out of water in huge events. He belongs! And he should keep his Future Foundation suit with him at all times.
