The launch of "The New 52" saw DC proudly flaunting the fact that they had over 200,000 pre-orders for Justice League #1; their flagship title in the relaunched universe. Subsequent printings saw it surpass the 300,000 mark (an extremely impressive record) but Marvel are now back on top report Bleeding Cool. The site have apparently received reliable word that Avengers Vs. X-Men #1 is not only the publishers best selling title ever (surpassing Civil War #1) but that it has now beaten Justice League #1. While DC's relaunch managed to grab plenty of attention, it seems that even their premiere superteam is no match for the appeal of seeing heroes fighting other heroes.
