Daniel Way and Steve Dillon's "Lightening" teaser from last week caused many to guess (correctly) that the duo would be taking on a new Marvel NOW! team of Thunderbolts. Newsarama can confirm that this is indeed the case, with the first issue launching in December.



As you can see the team consists of Red Hulk, Punisher, Elektra, Venom, and Deadpool. Quite a lineup eh? Apparently Red Hulk - formerly General Ross - will gather the team together. For more on what to expect, click the link below to hear from series editor Jordan D. White.

Doesn't really make sense. Red Hulk and Venom are Avengers. Aren't the Thunderbolts supposed to be reforming bad guys? And I hate both the names on that cover....

Now why couldn't Red Hulk get killed in AvX? Plus Castle is very much a loner so it's a surprise to see him on a team. Besides the Red Hulk, this is a badass lineup!

Way had a good run on Deadpool. Changed up the character, sure. Funny as hell though. Hate Dillon's art. Could ruin the book for me.

Everyone on this team was introduced originally as villians, so still has the T-Bolt flavor, at least. Why would Red Hulk need even need a team though?

Hey it's the NWO wolf pack lol Joking aside how is this team seriously going to get along. I mean who is the leader. This team is filled with loose cannon loner characters, don't get me wrong the punisher is one of my favorite ravel character but I do not see how this team works unless they have an Amanda Waller type character running the team lol

Marvel seriously needs to fix the "Hulks" problem - Green Hulk, Red Hulk, Green She-Hulk, Red She-Hulk, various children of Hulk(s), etc. etc. etc.; agree with Grif and the rest; Rulk is shit, (Bruce)Banner-Hulk or no Hulk.

Their should only be hulk and she hulk. In a way I do not mind Betty being red hulk because I could see her character trying experiments on herself but red hulk and son, daughter hulk have to go, it cheapens the win hulks character.
