lol man it has to be one hell a fall out they never went at each other over Jean like this EVER. Hopefully Cyke gets some long term injuries the magneto like move he pulled, he deserves a [frick]ing beating.

Scott dosen't have a chance. Realistically if Wolverine landed one solid slice on Cyclops he'd be in two pieces, whereas Wolverine would heal from Scott's optic blasts.

Although wouldent Wolverine win, cuz Cyclops's blasts cant kill Wolverine appearently, and dosent Wolverine have augumented streagnth with that admantium skeleton and all?
So shouldent Wolvie just grab him and beat the crap outta him?

This battle is one for the ages, but hands down Wolverine could take this to another level at any time and prepare Scott for his eternal resting spot. In the real world, Scott would not have been around this long. He would have died over a decade ago.

Cyke's getting pretty up close and personal with wolverine...

@ MarvelWeiner - Dude Cyke's optic blasts are made up off a kinetic force that has enough energy and magnitude to punch a hole in a mountain...at close range it would easily strip flesh from bone...

I think Cyclops is doing so well because Wolverine is holding back. Instead of stabbing him through the head, he just punched him. Wolverine isnt trying to kill him, he's just trying to beat him to a pulp.

Cyclops seems to be actually trying to kill Canucklehead though. It'd be cool if Cyclops got some nice scars from this fight, I'd love to see him with three scars running down half his face. And Cyclops' blasts are oblitterating Wolvie's flesh because he's all out, giving him the full power of his optic blast. He's unleashing it instead of holding it back for once, so it's basically blowing Wolverine's flesh off his bones. Obviously, Adamantium is indestructible so it's not effected.
But the physics of it is basically the same as how Black Canary once screamed a villain's face off at point blank range. The force is so powerful it blows it up.

I havent chosen a side cos I havent been following the story... might get a trade paperback if they release one. But at the end of the day, neither will die; story wise, Wolvie wont kill Cykes, and Slim cant kill Logan. Business-wise, Marvel wouldnt dare kill off two of their most bankable characters, and the two most popular X-Men.

Wolverine just got half his body toasted by Holocaust, so it's safe to say he will not only heal but take his fury out Scott if he wanted to. Remember, Wolverine's greatest power is berserker- if he goes berserker on Scott ,he'll end up looking like an 'Epic Meal Time' special!

why make cyclops be the be leader of the x-men all this time if he couldn't take out wolverine. Im a cyke fan and i like wolverine but come on. Cyke powers are from another dimension. lets for once not have wolverine be invicible and have his ass handed to him. That would not only make it interesting but think of the rematch (es)
