LEEE777 - I'm not much of an Ultimate fan but I'll be buying, now I've just heard they killed off the Hulk Goblin character in the comics too, I wonder who's next...Ultimate Nick Fury?

hulk goblin's already dead!
lizard and scorpion are back too, that's interesting. Hope this death will just last a month or two, USM was the 1st comic I ever read, and I love the modern take on most of the characters.

Why don't they just have one big explosion wipe everyone out for a few months? Then they can come back refreshed and explain the return was caused by magic... or they were all captured while the clones were killed. Otherwise, I think we've had enough of these "Deaths".

When it was Superman... it was a big deal. That sold a lot of books, everyone since has been trying to cash in and I'm tired of it.

@LEEE777 wasn't that what ultimatum was supposed to do?

I'm a hugh USM fan (I have every issue). I think that with Cap, Iron Man , and Thor training Peter to be on the Ultimates that Peter will take a new identity.

they already "killed" him once. he was "dead" for about 3 issues during ultimatum, before cap found him buried under a buncha rocks. and to all these ultimate universe haters (while i do love the 616 as well) at least the ultimate universe has kept the majority of the people killed in ultimatum dead.

wolverine
cyclops
professor x
doctor doom
wasp
hank pym
nightcrawler
colossus
doctor strange (dormamu squeezed him til his head popped off!)
magneto
blob

so if the stereotypical thing in comics is to bring back someone after theryre dead, i think the ultimate universe is doin a pretty good job of keepin them dead.

that said, i dont think peter parker will die. killin wolverine is one thing, but if they kill peter parker then they really are retarded and stupid and crazy. hes the face of the franchise baby!

@Ultimate Spider - Just a preference. It's kind of like when the first X-Men movie came out, it was cool. But as the movies continued, and you make more and more changes then all of a sudden they lead to bigger problems in continuity, etc. I actually don't mind Ultimate Spidey as much as I do the rest of the Ultimate universe. They made him a teen again, and modernized stuff. THAT I'm cool with. But sometimes it goes too far...like Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver having incest? Was that really necessary?

@Makiveli21 I agree I dont think they will kill Peter.
They'll probably just kill the identity of Spider-man

Wasn't cyclops killed in ultimatum and hasn't been brought for like a year?

@ luffycapri
"I love ultimate's, i guess it's triggered to a young crowd not old."

Partially true. They also appeal to people who are not much interested in mainstream comics anymore like myself. Honestly I simply cannot read about Joker escaping Arkham and killing more people again. The endless loop that is comic book storytelling holds no drama or interest for me.

Without Death there is no Drama.

ZELL @ Yeah I think it was lol, better late than never! ; P

Darque @ I feel sorry you feel that way, Ultimate just feels cheap rip-offs to me, always will do, but happy you like 'em! ; p

nAH, You wanna read good comic book reads, read Vertigo, Indy's etc like DELL said! Fables is a great book, so's trades of Preacher and Sandman if you can get them. Moore's Swamp Thing too, as well as most Alan Moore comic books!

Ulti-spidey @ Yeah outta all of 'em I suppose Spidey's the best (Apart from Hulk Goblin and Electro). I loved the PS 2 game! : P

Like a bunch of you said, I agree they'll probably just have Pete retire as Spidey. I mean Ultimate Avengers have another Spiderman aparently.
Ultimate comics are so stupid (except their Nick Fury), the only one worth reading was Spiderman and now they're killing him off. Now that Bagley's gone the art's gone downhill, and I hate how they made the Goblins Hulk wannabes and Venom a potion (although I liked how Peter and Eddie actually knew eachother beforehand), and Electro looks even gayer than he did in 616!
