COMICS: Does Wolverine KILL Jean Grey In ALL-NEW X-MEN #6?

While it's more than likely some sort of dream sequence, this first look at All-New X-Men #6 features Cyclops and Magneto invading the Jean Grey School only to be subsequently attacked by Wolverine (who inadvertently delivers a fatal blow to the young Jean). Check it out!

will it change this universe or only the one universe the original 5 are from?.....stupid confusing time travel.

@marvel72 All Xmen titles except for The First Xmen are awesome. Deadpool is a pretty good read as well.

jesus christ.

MARVEL GIRL!!! Why the hell can't they ever call her Marvel Girl? In the intro, they name all the guys by their superhero names but for some damned reason even the WRITERS forget that Stan Lee and Jack Kirby put her in a costume and her battle name was Marvel. Girl.

jeeesh!

GhostKILLERgx7 - 1/10/2013, 1:15 PM
@ckyed it's probably for the readers that wouldn't know. but you do have a point her x-men name should be added.

BUT WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH THE TIME LINES! i don't want no cop out bull shit story, i want to know if they will fully explain the ramifications of the x-men time traveling or if it will have some ground to the new uncanny x-men title.

not necessary a dream... did you see the phoenix in her eye?! looks promising!
cyked
cyked - 1/10/2013, 3:52 PM
@Ghostkiller --- man, the only reason new readers wouldn't know her battle name is because they've continued to omit her X-name over the years. I'm 42 and I've been reading these books since I was 10, and she has always been Marvel Girl [or Phoenix] up until the 90s.... and then somebody at Headquarters decided to just.... start calling her Jean Grey. For some reason.
EVERYBODY knows the original X-Men.

Kinda irked by Kitty Pride and Emma Frost, too. These are all some cool-assed characters --- are they not allowed battle-names because they're women? Seriously, is that what this is? Cuz you never hear about Peter Rasputin lifting rubble off of a flattened house or Robert Drake saving people from a brush fire.

I agree with you, Ghost -- I'm just saying it kinda miffs me.
shamo
shamo - 1/10/2013, 3:56 PM
Shadowcats actually a great codename so their no reason to not use hers. and Emma doesn't have one to my knowledge does she? unless we're counting White Queen..but isn't that more of a rank then a codename?
cyked
cyked - 1/10/2013, 3:57 PM
And @Shamo --- man, Marvel Girl is an iconic name. For heck's sake, it's the COMPANY name. Got the same stones as Scarlet Witch or Wasp, imo

cyked - 1/10/2013, 3:57 PM
Good point.... also, it was her bad-guy name.
But Magneto is still Magneto, soooo....

MutantEquality - 1/10/2013, 5:16 PM
I'm not sure it's a dream. I think it's probably Jean and her telepathy messing with her. Feeling Logan deep down beserker rage maybe.

But i think it's her telepathy.
shamo
shamo - 1/10/2013, 5:34 PM
@ cyked my problem is that the Girl part is redundant. it's the same way i feel with Spiderman, Superman and all the others like them. i mean, its clear as day you're a girl so why would you feel the need to reiiterate the unsaid by including it in your codename, ya know?

SW and Wasp are good ones though imo, esp. Scarlet Witch.

@cyked i knew her as jean grey first through the 90's show then learned she was Marvel-Girl after. i don't like them writing off old stuff like it never happened but, i guess that's kind of hard after 50 years
