As it was revealed before, Hawkeye will be getting his own comic book series from David Aja and Matt Fraction, which is set to debut on August 1, and now we have our first look at the Adi Granov's variant cover for it. Below we have Fraction talking a bit about this new run, courtesy of Comic Book Resources:
"This series is very William Friedkin and early Brian Depalma. Rockford Files," Fraction said. "It's an early '70s urban grit story. You almost expect Hawkeye to come around the corner and bump into Power Man and Iron Fist from 30 years ago... This is very much a piece with [editor] Steve Wacker's other crime books like Daredevil and The Punisher, -- but it's scored by Lalo Schifrin"
