Not digging the art work and the story is about as contrived as I've ever read. These guys are supposed to be the best writers/artists out there making books? This is one of the reasons (also the giant price tag) that I stopped buying comics. Poor stories. Have Hulk kill Chef Boyardee instead. At least it hasn't be done and wouldn't be predictable.

basically,dr.doom seperated the hulk from banner,banner had a fight with the hulk.

a gamma bomb went off killing banner,happened in issue six or seven.

With exception of Betty being the Red She Hulk...this isn't a new story...they did pretty much the same thing 25yrs ago...with almost identical cover art. Although I do like this cover better.

I agree with the guy that said Marvel is watering down the brand. RULK...is a novelty waste...much like grey Hulk time to have there be only one HULK and make him a Badass again...but that has always been the problem with the HULK, his story lines are pretty limited, and he becomes secondary...that's why Planet Hulk and WWH was so great.

Great Cover, but art and story look horrible! Everything since World War Hulk has been garbage, to the point I dropped the book again for the third time in 30 years of reading it. There is only ONE Hulk, the Red Hulk and She-Hulk are ideas that come from people who don't understand the Hulk character, and Marvel Editorial have no respect for the character and entertain every stupid idea one of Joe Q.'s friends come up with.

Okay, haven't we done the whole "Hulk killed Banner" thing before? Seems like they did this not long before the McFarlane run. Or was that just another of the several times that the two have been separated, which never really worked out? I know I've seen a version of this before back in the day.

And why is the Hulk bald? He looks really silly bald- almost like a green, more muscular Kingpin. It is rather amusing to see the Hulk knocking back a few beers. "Wolverine was right" indeed.

JimOakley: While they have had this "red Hulk" running around for several years now, I do agree with you that they're diluting the character. A red She-Hulk is really just too much.

Spoiler alert: Bruce Banner isn't dead. The Hulk IS Bruce Banner....DUH! He was played by Dr. Doom into thinking he could be separated. At some point he will just change back into Banner again. Seriously. This whole concept is just plain stupid. The Hulk is NOT a separate entity. He doesn't just magically appear out of nowhere and replace Banner. The Hulk IS Banner mutated, so it's physically impossible that they be two separate beings. Total Bull$hit.

Need more Colors.... can't have actual imagination and come up with real new heroes with brand new powers. Expect Purple and Yellow and Orange Hulks by end of year!

I think this is kind of stupid... if banner's dead, then how can hulk form coherent though instead of blinding rage? And how is his speech intelligible?
Marvel has to stop killing people temporarily for shock value.

This is something I would TOTALLY buy based on the cover. And be TOTALLY disappointed based on what's actually inside. I HATE that type of artwork. It's much like Wolverine & the X-Men. Too cartoony/abstract/exaggerated.

I don't really mind the multiple Hulks & I quite like Red Hulk. Betsy Ross as RSH is an obvious yet likable move, in my opinion.

WHAT PROBABLY HAPPENED:
DR DOOM GOT ALL THE CRAZY VIOLENT STUFF AND PUT IT IN A BANNER CLONE..BANNER IS STILL IN THE HULK, HE JUST DOESNT REMEMBER HE'S BANNER HE ONLY THINKS HE'S THE HULK..BANNER AND THE HULK ARE THE SAME PERSON, THEY CAN'T BE SEPARATED EVER..THE THING THAT REALLY IS SCREWING THE HULK/BANNER UP IS HIS MIND, IF YOU CUT OUT THE PART THAT WILL ALLOW YOU TO TRICK A PERSON INTO BELIEVING HE IS FREE AND MAKE AN ELABORATE SET UP AND MAKE IT BELIEVABLE..ESPECIALLY IF ITS A POWERFUL MONSTER FOE...AND YOUR A GENIUS AND HAVE A SILENT ADVANTAGE, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

I can respect what Marvel Comics is doing this year seperately from Marvel Studios. From what I see, they already did their reddacts half a year ago. So if Bruce Banner is dead then that's kind of like how the fate of Bruce Wayne was incertain during Batman RIP and TDK's release. I appreciate that if someone wants to jump into the character, he's already in the middle of the story. Comic book guys know most of the fun is the hunt for backlogs.
