I'm a huge Punisher fan, but after reading this Punisher In Space preview, I will so not be buying that. War Zone is looking promising, although, Frank Castle vs Thor? He's going to die.

@Marvel72 and @StockersBlahBlah Noooo, I highly recommend you read space punisher. So good, but yet so underrated.

Space Punisher is just ridiculous fun..not meant to be taken seriously.
The Punisher is a character that's so very serious that it's refreshing to see something odd-ball as this.

Hope Upcoming WAR ZONE is as good as the other stories from Rucka.

Yeah, the "Space Punisher" title should let you know it's just a bit of oddball fun. Still, Magneto working alongside a Nazi Red Skull seems like a misstep. Nit-picky I know, but still.

I've always thought Punisher is a cool character but I've never actually read any of his titles. Can anyone recommend any good Punisher story-arcs that I could pick up as trades, preferably stand-alone stories that are easy to get into even if you've never read Punisher before? Thanks :)

Punisher is the best series out now. And I have a feeling that this new War Zone story will be one of the best story arcs in the history of comics. Rucka has done such an amazing job with this comic, he's gonna want to go out with a bang.

The Punisher has been one of my favorite titles.

@ACira- A legendary punisher story is Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe. It's only one book and you can buy it on the marvel comics app for like $5. It's very good.

If you want to read some darker stuff, then grab anything that says Punisher MAX.

Another series that I enjoyed was Marvel Universe vs the Punisher. It's where most of the world has been turned into zombies and Frank is still alive and fighting off all of the super-powered zombies. I really enjoyed that series, but I'm a Punisher junkie so I like all of it!

You should start to read the current Punisher title by Rucka, which has been amazing. They're about to start the new War Zone arc which is going to be incredible.

But DO NOT read Space Punisher. It's just terrible.

its one of those things where i am disgusted by how they are raping this character and then i realize o its their character to rape

rucka stuff was nothing special ennis had a female punisher with a double mastectomy (that means her breasts removed)

and what hes done now is seven meets metal gear solid bleh

ACira, I agree with the Punisher MAX series being a must. And when I saw your question, Punisher: BORN was the first suggestion to pop into my head. What better way to dig-in than Ennis' take on the very "start" of Frank Castle. As a life-long Punisher fan, BORN produced some real "holy ****" moments. I'm not sure you could call it canon, but Ennis does a better job of shining light on the pre-punisher years than any other writer has.

Space Punisher is awesome for what it's trying to be. Every page looks like the cover of a pulp science fiction novel and the story is ridiculous. It's perfect as a four issue mini. I could see where it isn't everyone's cup of tea though. The opening battle of issue 1 has Punisher fighting the brood bonded with a venom-like symbiote. What's not to like about that?
