With the first issue of Ultimate Comics Spider-Man set to be released later this week, little is currently known about the man (boy?) who will take up the mantle of the wall crawling superhero following the death of Peter Parker at the hands of the Green Goblin. Well, the following preview courtesy of Newsarama seemingly sheds some more light on how exactly Morales will differ to Parker. NinjaCarm: No, he's not gay - someone from Marvel debunked it I believe. He's also 12, so I doubt they'd explore that avenue, lol.

I'm pretty sure he is not turning invisible as everyone still clearly sees him walk off,
It looks like he has some kind of poison in his skin? Or something to stun his enemies with, could we see the poison barbs/darts back?

And yeah 13 is younger than I would like, but it seems like they are already trying to show his lack of responsibility and guidance, I mean he's running and leaping over everything in broad day light. It seems like bendis wanted to do younger to see a more careless Peter and redo lots of the "learning on the job" type lessons.

I usually don't comment on things I don't like (take notes some of you guys)but this is just bad. If they gave him a different code name and let him earn a fan base then maybe, but living of Spidey's rep so to speak is not a way to go. I felt tricked into reading this and I didn't like it.

So we now have a miniature Superman type? Great. Spider-Man has some of the most amazing (pun intented) powers in his base arsenal. And its just enough to make him incredibly formidable, but not invincible and unrelatable, such as Superman.

If this kid has all of Spidey's powers PLUS some touch based shock thingie AND invisibility!? Are you &$(#)@*$ kidding me!?

Too much is too much.

It amazes me that a hero can go for years and years with nobody else having powers that even remotely resemble their own. Yet, as soon as that hero dies, somebody shows up with the same power set and takes that heroes name and costume.
