This better end with Miles being transported to 616 and the rest of Ultimate being obliterated, it used to be good but now its just asstastic, and not the good kind of asstastic.

This is minor but you know what gets me? The fact tha The Silver Surfer measures time in Earth increments. Hes been to countless galaxies/ realities and he still counts months. 30 rotations of the earth day to nights. I wonder if he calls them by their earth names August September etc. Just a thought.

I honestly don't care how they do it, they just need to kill the Ultimate U and find a way for Miles and crew to survive it. It could just end in a universal reset for all I care (like Zero hour). But no matter who they bring in (and they've brought in some big names) that whole world is just tainted ever since Ultimatum. There's no fixing it at this point. I think part of the reason is that they went to all this trouble to set it apart from 616 by killing off all these characters but they never bothered to create any NEW ones (I guess we got Stark's smarter brother, but whatever happened to him?). So what we were left with was a version of the Marvel U with half the cool characters gone - particularly the villains.

Damnit, Ultimatum was f#@cking years ago. Ultimate Marvel still has better storylines than most of stale-a$$ 616. At least, in Ultimate the characters get a real chance to develop and live finite life spans instead of an endless cycle of death and rebirth and fighting the same battles over and over and over and over again. Sheesh, all you people should start thinking for yourselves sometimes instead of "bad or good by popular demand."

i like ultimate universe more than the regular 616... is more unpredictble.. and more fun.
i really hope they just correct some 'flaws' here and there.... and keep the ultimate line goin.
ultimate x-men and spider man are WAAAY better then the regular ones this year.

I'm struggling to understand what is preventing people who don't like the ultimate universe from simply not purchasing the comics and leaving them to people who like them.I constantly see sweeping statements suggesting that nobody likes the comics which isn't true.
Some of you don't seem to understand that this website doesn't represent every comic readers view on a particular subject. Just because the majority doesn't like something it doesn't make them right. The universe doesn't need to end just ignore it. There are so many titles out there to enjoy stop obsessing over one's you don't.

@j2cool2 I guess it's a matter of opinion. But my opinion is based on the Ultimate books I've purchased since Ultimatum (which was quite a few actually). And even stuff when by Hickman and Millar (Who helped make the Ultimate U in the beginning) just wasn't all that good. The grounded real-time nature of this universe was a big part of the appeal. But I don't care how realistic the setting is; if the stories aren't any good, they aren't any good. And maybe it's coincidence but it just seems to me that prior to Ultimatum, stories set in the Ultimate U were great and afterwards not so much. But maybe it's a master of how long that universe has been going. Maybe no matter what, the Ultimate U just couldn't be sustained for a decade of ongoing stories. Bendis' Spider-Man is the only book not having that problem. Probably because of the slower pacing of his story telling. But whether it's due to a shift caused by Ultimatum or it's a case of staying too long at the party or a shift in reader preference or my gam-gam's bunions, the Ultimate U needs to end.

The Ultimate Universe went downhill fast after Ultimatum. I'm enjoying Ultimate Comics Spider-Man with Miles Morales but other than that this whole Universe can go. I've never been a fan of the Ultimates & nothing they've done has changed my mind.
