It's just the codename. Since Mjolnir says "Whosoever holds this hammer, if she be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor" and gives her a Thor-like disguise, it kinda makes sense that everyone calls her Thor instead of whatever her real name is.

The God Butcher (Thor: God of Thunder Issues 1-5)
Godbomb (Thor: God of Thunder Issues 6-11)
The Accursed (Thor: God of Thunder Issues 12-18)
Thor Issues 1,2,3 and now 4.

Even though we all know that every story from here on until Secret Wars is pretty much pointless because the whole universe is going to crash into the ultimate universe and then you have different times crashing- past, present, and future- into each other and then we will be left with....er...just....battle world...?


I still do not get this. All of Marvels Multiverse will become Battle World? can someone explain to me what happens when Secret Wars concludes? Is Marvel going to make a new universe as their "canon" universe? or is Battle World permanently going to be the setting for all future comics? I...Dont....Get....it...

Also, can anyone explain to me how to get rid of the stupid Ads on the right side of screen? they follow as I scroll the pages and they block my Account Name/Login/Logout portion. In other words, the ad-block does not block the ad that consists of 6...err...blocks (2x3 pics with words under each pic, each linking to zergnet. They are SUPER annoying. I hate them. I want them to burn.

No one knows yet what comes after Secret Wars, but the popular opinion is that Marvel will take different versions of each character and combine them into one coherent universe.

Personally, I have a feeling that the 42 "Battleworld" regions will become the Marvel's titles for a couple months.

@PsyGuy Yea I get all that, but Setting-wise they are obviously going to create a new Earth and universe right?

also, imo I think that 1 or 2 versions of each character will survive (the most popular version whether it be the ultimate cyclops killing the 616 leaving only the ultimate (only an example, not the actual cyclops i think will be left standing) version of the character to populate the "new" universe. I honestly think thats how it will pan out. Each character will be left with 1-2 MAYBE a 3rd version of each left standing for the new Marvel Universe.

Issues 19-25 is where Thor battles Roxxonn over polluting the earth and he meets agent Solomon from Shield. King Thor battles Galactus in the future and stops him from consuming a barren earth.

I'm all about progression but I have a bad feeling they're going to keep female Thor after the reboot and try to turn her into Marvel's version of Wonder Woman. No offense to anyone but I want the real Thor back.
