They are blue because they are resurrected from the dead. It gives them a ghoulish appearance...plus Apocalypse is blue and they were brought back by the children of Apocalypse.

Seriously, people! His skin is blue because he's been resurrcted as a horseman of Apocalypse, just like when Warren became Arcangel. And if an Uncanny Avenger is gonna bite it, I'd have to but money on Sunfire or Wonder Man. Wanda and Janet just came back, and we all know they're not gonna off Thor, Cap, or Wolvie.
