Man, there is some hate for Allred on this site. Oh well. Different strokes for different folks. I'll just say that it is great to see something new and fresh. I appreciate new takes on characters. I've always loved Allred's pop art style, and the beginning of this story is very engaging. I'll be picking it up.

Allred is great and so is Slott. Seems they both have a lot of detractors. would be interesting to see what the detractors think is good, so we can compare and contrast their favorites, with the same harsh criticism they give.

For, say, a potential Silver Surfer movie I'd hope for something else in tone and look (more like the first variant cover), but somehow the art in the comic has a certain appeal. Although I've been on the other side of the Allred like/dislike line in regard to other comics...

Allred is great. This is art. Different styles are supposed to be welcomed. You all just want the same bland "realistic" shit to cover the entire industry? Every time an artist has his own stylistic approach to his art on here you all bitch.

Why does this site even post previews to comics? No one on this site reads comics. They just watch the movies and bitch on forums.

HEY! Except for the angled panels, this is exactly the kind of look and feel Lee and Kirby would have done. And that logo is beyond perfect. Wonderful design. I am definitely looking forward to this ESPECIALLY since almost everything else Marvel is doing is dark, OVERLY adult, and somber.
