Seriously! What is up with all of these writers saying "You know that thing that makes a character awesome? Well lets take that away and fundamentally change that character's persona and do a story about that!!"

NO! Why take away wolverine's healing factor and immortality?

BC [frick] you. Thats why.

With no healing factor wouldn't he just bleed out from his claws?
NightmareB4
NightmareB4 - 4/29/2014, 5:42 AM
@IDKwhatToChoose Yes, he would also die from adamantium poisoning. X-Men #191 it is called virulently poisonous.

The rose tattoo is so stupid.
ekrolo2
ekrolo2 - 4/29/2014, 5:52 AM
He got pills from Beast that help him fight the poisoning, and his claws now come out of the gauntlets on his armor as a replacement to his actual ones he doesn't risk bleeding out after using them every time.

Wolverine is a stupid character, his stupid tattoo goes with his stupid chops.

@Demigods While it is clearly just another one of Marvel's "SO and SO WILL DIE" stories that have no weight at all, I think the appeal of doing a story of Wolverine losing the healing factor is the same as having any character lose their powers: to see them earn them back and prove they're worthy of them. For example, it's easy for Superman to be heroic, but take away his powers and put him in a situation where it's either be a hero and die or someone else dies, then suddenly he deserves to be Superman in the first place. Stuff like that.

This whole thing sucks. Wolverine without healing is a boring bum who would die from all of the afore mentioned reasons. Plus he AIN'T AS BIG AS THOR. This would mark the first battle between those two and this is like a [frick]in throw away!!

I'm tired of the sliding scale of how fast Wolverine heals. In some stories he needs several hours or even a day to recover from serious trauma, in others he gets ripped in half and crawls away to find his legs and reattach them.

Seriously, watch the first X-Men movie, after they find him getting in Canada, they take him back unconscious to the mansion where he awakens hours later, while in X3, Phoenix is tearing him apart down to his bones and he keeps walking.

Wolverine has become Superman. When a character has no real threat of dying, when they're too powerful, people get bored with the character.

@Alfredo27

Uncanny X-Men is the best comic Marvel has going now that Superior Spider-Man is over. So it's not all pro-Avengers.

All-New X-Men is a fun read as far as character dynamics go, too.

@jimoakley Daredevil was never killed off.

That being said, not sure about this story. But I don't really follow wolverine.

@ Alfredo

Are you crazy? Thor's power level is so far beyond Wolverine's its ridiculous. Thor can fly, and create lightning. If Thor just hovered in the air, he could strike Wolverine with lightning and then fly in to hit him with Mjolnir.

If Thor wanted, Wolverine wouldn't even be able to land a single finger on him.

This would be one of the most one-sided fights in all of comic history because Wolverine wouldn't even be able to hit Thor.

@ Alfredo

Also, House of M wasn't written to make the X-Men less popular. They were already on a downward spiral due to crappy writing. House of M was an attempt to shake up the X-Men world to generate MORE sales.

Why on earth would a comic company want to make one of their comics LESS popular? Less popularity means less sales. Why would ANYONE do that?

You guys complaining about the rose tattoo clearly don't know what you're talking about, or what it stands for. Do some research before you just start bashing it.

An article I wrote focused on a brawl between these two. Ultimate Bad Ass Challenge part two. It was like a breakdown deadliest warrior style. Although Wolverine Def is capable of hurting Thor pretty badly, there's plenty of proof in the article and comments that Thor would win. Even without using his God Blast on Wolverine. Now without his healing factor he's screwed. Metals a conductor for electricity. He would get cooked from the inside out. Lol

Did he really get a stupid rose tattoo?

Also, wouldn't his healing factor make tattoos impossible on Logan?

Da fack!? Of all the tattoos they could give him, a rose...a damn rose? He doesn't even need a tattoo anyways. I like wolverine but even if he had his healing factor Thor would own his ass.

Since so many people don't seem to know anything about Wolverine, I'll explain it.

The Rose is symbolic to his first love...her name was Rose. He accidentally killed her in Wolverine: Origin when he was fighting one of their childhood friends who turned bad.

Rose was his childhood friend from the time he was like 4 years old, and he later fell in love with her as a teenager, young adult.

There, can we quit complaining about the damn rose tattoo now?
