According to sources over at BleedingCool.com the way we buy Marvel books may change drastically. If BleedingCool's source is to be believed Marvel are going to start bringing a lot more perks to users of it's Marvel Unlimited service.

As well as this, the source is claiming that Marvel may cut ComiXoligy out of the distribution of their comics and manage distribution privately.
However, Marvel seem to deny the rumour that they will remove ComiXology, saying, "We have no plans to sever ties with Comixology, but we do have plans to continue building great products for our fans.”

We're just going to have to see what Marvel really do have in store for it's readers. Yet, with claims that Marvel's standards are dropping are readers going to be willing to stick around?
What do you make of Marvel's comments?

There is nothing Marvel can make me do to switch to digital. I prefer to hold a physical copy of a comic.

Standards are dropping? Marvel hasn't been this good since 2004. I don't know what the Hell you guys are reading, but there's a helluva lot of good books they're putting out.

So they're going to do what Image has already done, in terms of allowing ComiXology but promoting and primarily supporting their own site? Always seemed the best path to me anyway.

I like a lot of the books Marvel put out. When I'm writing an article I try and put aside personal bias
I saw a post recently wondering if comics standards were going down and the general consensus was that they were so I went with that.
Personally though, I agree, Marvel's on a real good run right now

That's why it always confuses me when people trash modern DC and Marvel comics. They're pulling out damn fine titles.

The way they keep renumbering series after only a few issues makes me think they're going to drop printed individual issues altogether and only print collected stories in trades and hardcovers. If you want to read issues one at a time each month, you'll have to download them. Single 22-page comics just aren't economically viable anymore.

some comic books increase in value for whatever reason, they're a good investment.

I only go digital when I can't get to a comic store. Eve then I'm partially hating myself for giving in.

I buy digital because it's more faster to buy. I don't think I have a comic book store in my hometown and I can't find the old books I want to read. (though I can buy it on amazon though) I still buy normal books to read and games at game stores, but I buy digital because it's sure as hell faster to read especially if the comics are old. you can say I'm old school with a little new school.

I'm 16, but there's no chance I'm getting a bloody digital comic. No matter what the quality, I prefer holding a book when I'm reading.

Yeah i love old school comic books. Not so much of a fan of the new comics with exception of a few. I prefer to hold and flip through the pages of a comic book.
