Love that Noto cover. Wish he was penciling a different title.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. They're going to say that Stark secretly kept a little piece of the Phoenix force, weaponized it, and uses it in space. And somehow, the hypocritical Avengers will be okay with this.

It looks like it will probably piss off the Shi'ar though.

Quaesada may be an asshole but god damn he can draw. He is basically the Kobe Bryant of comics.

Thunderbolts has been the biggest Marvel Now! let down for me. A fantastic group of characters that should be kicking insane amounts of ass a la X-Force and so far nothing. The art hurt the book even more because it's just terrible thankfully they have already announced new artists.

I would rather them bring back the real criminal Thunderbolts than continue they story as it stands now.

no. no they cannot.

but seriously, Batman having a utillity belt? fine because its not there for decoration, we actually see him put it to use. Cyclops on the other hand? not so much.

Poor Cyclops, old habits die hard. He looks like hes reaching up to open his usual visor. pretty sure it wont be needed, lol.

@MilesMorales: Exactly. In the latest issue of Thunderbolts, Red Hulk doesn't even look like a Hulk... just a muscular man in red body paint with a big head.

Seriously???? That Thunderbolts cover looks like it's drawn by a really talented 8 yr. old. And that's the art that will be inside the book once they dump the lame ass who's doing pencils now???
I'm no artist, and definitely cannot do better, but I sure as hell won't continue paying for bullshit art like that. Part of buying comics, for me, is the great artwork. Sometimes a story is so good that it can offset bad art, but this is definitely NOT one of those occasions.
Bye-bye Thunderbolts. Ugh.

@Kamen I actually think that only the mutants that hosted the Pheonix had their powers frick up. At leas Cyclops and Colossus are having some sort of problems with their powers.

@TheRealRemyLebeau- Not sure if your comment about "those that cannot draw criticize the most" was aimed at me, but I'd like to reitterate the fact that I am paying for said artwork and stories, and feel that I am allowed to criticize if my hard earned money is paying for bad artwork/storytelling. Will I drop the title? Most definitely. At which point I will cease being critical.

That being said, I am somewhat skilled at photography, and will also criticize poor photography when I see it. Am I more justified with my criticism if I am skilled at said craft? Either way, I will give praise when viewing pleasing/beautiful artwork of any kind. I do not just criticize.

In this case, the bad was so bad, that I felt it worth commenting on. If positive feedback is what is desired, then allow me to say that the other two covers are fantastic, especially the one by Joey Q. I was heavy into comics when Quesada was only an artist, and I always enjoy seeing something from him. I miss the days of having a league of artists at Marvel like Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, Erik Larson, George Perez, Marc Silvestri, Dale Keown and Arthur Adams, just to name a few. We got super high quality comics back then. But all dynasties must fall, and, on the whole, I'm pretty pleased with what Marvel is putting out right now. No living in the past here...

@TheRealRemyLebeau- I also want to point out that I agree with your sentiments regarding Cyclops' new look, as well as the designs from the 90's being some of the best. Who needs a functional utility belt? Sometimes, it just looks cool...
