"the movies don't affect the comics at all"

Designs the guardians to look exactly like they do in the movies. *sigh* At least be honest with you taking stuff from the movies marvel.

Rotating cast of creators?

Is it too much to dream to have Claremont and Alan Davis doing a couple of these issues?

Do we really need 6 Guardians titles being put out at once??

Can Bendis just stop writing cosmic. Please. Just stop. Give it back to DnA or someone willing to research an understanding of the characters being written. Let Bendis screw around with X-Men.

Remember when Gunn said his Guardians don't piggy back off of the Avengers.

It's because Marvel keeps doing shit like this in the comics.

Let the Guardians just be the Guardians. Get rid of all the guest starring bullshit.

I want teams ups with Cosmo, Mantis, Major Victory and every other character that got kicked out of the Guardians team simply because they were not in the movie.

The look on Ghost Rider's (and a few of the other's) face tells me that he, unfortunately, looked up at the wrong time and saw Groot's "acorns".

@dethpillow Imonen would be interesting. I never finished the Iron Man space arc Gillen wrote so I haven't got a good read on how he would make use of Cosmic mythology. I'd say Hickman has more than proven his capability in handling the wider cosmic mythos but I think he's more fitted to writing something like Galactus:Origins or something that is more about exploring the depths of the cosmic mythos. I guess I'd like to see what Nick Spencer would do with the GotG team. I think he's capable of inhabiting the personalities and adding that "prophetic" time aspect the original DnA run had. I think he'd work well in conjunction with Abnett's Guardians 3000 to spin a huge tapestry of story. Have you read any of his Morning Glories run from Image Comics?

Nick Spencer has worked on Secret Avengers, Superior Foes of Spider-Man, and currently Avengers World from Marvel. I think he did two DC comics as well. And on top of Morning Glories, he also wrote the first 7 issues of Robert Kirkman's Thief of Thieves, of which the first 3 issues immediately sold out.

At least now they have the movie costume, instead of that hideous bobsleigh team outfit that Bendis forced on us.

Still their '08 look is the best.

Wasp looks a little top heavy to attain flight. Must be like a bee , where aerodynamics go out the window.

Why all the earth based"guest stars"? I can't feel that Marvel might be missing an opportunity to expose and flesh out lesser-known cosmic entities in such a series.

Bendis is awesome. If you're hating on him because of the hanging plot threads regarding Nova and Thanos, then you missed all that being resolved. And it was excellent.
