I have been severely underwhelmed by this series. But I made it to issue 8, so I might as well ride it out.

Oh... deadly ribbons -.-
JoeQ is such a good artist... kinda pisses me off he's only drawing covers. Also, not too fond of some of his ideas, but mad skills nonetheless.

My stance on "event books" is this: You get three issues. Three. If'n I ain't hooked by then, I'm done. I'm not playing the sunk cost game anymore, of "well I've gotten this many issues, may as well finish it." I've done that with too many of these and I ain't gonna do it anymore. These books are $4 a piece (more in some cases). If I'm dropping $40 on something, there better be a damn good reason. I think if more of us did that, they'd finally start getting the message on these things. But it's hard to dispute their claims that people like these things if the books are consistently in the top 10 every month (and they are).

Age of Ultron is the only Marvel book I'm buying right now. I was reading Thunderbolts with Deadpool, Elektra, Punisher, but after 6 issues that book turned so unintelligible you'd think it came from DC editorial.

@Jim lol. Nope. Cover looks like a "Deathmate" Valiant/Image X-O/Spawn crossover.

Despite that fact that Quesada is a god-awful storyteller, I do have to admit he is a very talented artist.

Why does Steve Rogers only get promoted in alternate realities? Also, why is it always a promotion? Maybe, for once, he could get busted down for punching out Nick Fury or something. Just imagine.....Corporal America: Super Soldier! He'd peel the shit out of those potatoes!

I'm with @Crawley... I'm going to finish what I've started, but this series has been underwhelmingly bad. The best part of the series, as of issue #8, was when Wolverine killed Pym, and I like Pym. The rest of the series has been uninspired, at best. Bendis is a crap writer who, in my opinion, ruins everything that he gets his hands on. At least now I know to stay far away from anything with his name on it....

He could get busted even lower if he did something extreme like, say, take a shit on the White House lawn and then wipe his ass with the President's face! Corporal America: Polishing the shit out of those latrines!!!

He should have been forced to stick to art chores and not have been allowed to flush the entire 616 down the toilet.
