COMICS: Nick Fury Jr. Is Keeping Tabs On Cable In New MARVEL NOW! Teaser

It seems Cable is going to be one of the characters that will "shape the Marvel Universe," as he is being kept a very close eye on my Marcus Johnson in this new Marvel NOW! Point One teaser, featuring art by Adi Granov..

CBR have just debuted the following Marvel NOW! Point One teaser, which shows Marcus Johnson, AKA Nick Fury, Jr., tossing five dossiers at us. Four have questions marks, but the fifth clearly shows an image of the mutant Cable. Which other four characters will come to "shape the Marvel Universe"? I'm sure all will be revealed soon enough.

I really like the first one they did to introduce all the various stories and characters. I can't wait to see which kind of stories they will do.

The last time Cable didn't have to use half his power to keep the TO virus at bay he was basically a god. I bet they down play it for some lame reason the same way they did Nate Grey when he came back

Also, why does Nick Fury Jr have slash marks on his day eye like Ultimate and Movieverse Fury? His eye was pulled out, not clawed out...

Nick Fury Jr is a forced and lame character

Is this Nick Fury Jr by birthright or title? I wouldn't mind it being a title but for him to be the blood son of Original Fury is kinda ridiculous.

His name is Marcus Johnson which is better sounding than NFJR even if Fury had jungle fever in the 70s.

@ AlcoholicA

i hate how they turned down nate grey's power level,i've got some dark x-men comics & norman osborn has him tortured in front of the dark x-men.

nate grey could of destroyed that team on his own.

@marvel72

Yeah, I like how he tricked Sentry into just leaving the fight, lmao. But Osborn being screwed up in the head is what defeated Nate, which is kinda a cliche--Telepath tries to mess with a guy who is really messed up and messes himself up.

You probably already know, but it was Nate being tied up to the Omega Machine (after Osborn captured him and gave him to SugarMan) for so long that diminished his power levels.

every time i see cable involved in anything current with marvel, I just sit back and think "MAKE A FRACKIN' CABLE MOVIE"...

then i remember that he's my favorite character and they would slaughter him...

@AlcoholicA he has the marks over his eyes because the guy that tortured him did it to make him more like his dad.

@superwolverine Nick Fury was involved with a dark skinned woman. i dont think they said that she was african american or not but it is possible for a white and black couple to have either an all white or an all black child. hell theres a couple that had twins who were both white and black. granted not that black. i personally know a girl whose dad is a very dark skinned jamaican guy and she turned out pale white with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Nick Fury Jr. is black due to genetics. simple as that

Norseman79: I'm with you here. I have never liked Cable. When they started twisting things around to make him Scott's son from the future, that's when I was done with all that.

Nomis: Absolutely true.
