Taskmaster rocks, been hanging for him in a monthly since Avengers Initiative wrapped up.

If you haven't read the recent Taskmaster mini-series, definitely do it. It's his origin, which is tragic as much as it is entertaining.

First issue was really good. The twists presented in the first issue is what I like in "spy" books; when even the reader is kind of left in the dark.

I like how they keep the guys in their costumes behind bars. Sorry but this book sucks.

Always liked Taskmaster. I enjoyed the first issue of this series and Taskmaster is a bonus reason to pick up #2 for me.

Taskmaster is such an under utilized character. With his powers he should be able to take out just about any street level hero with no problem, but he always gets punked out.

Taskmaster is great, his skill-set is cool, his costume is cool, his motives are cool such as being a mercenary.

Actually Tasky is a Deathstroke type without ripping off that characters name & abilities like Rob "loser" Liefeld did with Deadpool.

Luckily other writers made DP cool & teamed Tasky with DP,they make a better combo than DP & Cable who is a turd character if ever there was one.

Still can't believe what a cheap way they chose to make Fury black. And, like, what for?

Marvel should've stuck with Marcus Fury instead of Nick Fury Jr. I know he is the biological son of Nick Fury, but come on, he's been called Marcus his whole life... meh it is what is. Other than that, the first issue was actually pretty good.

Oh Taskmaster, one of my favourite Marvel characters and sadly one of the most underrated. He could be a more relevant character, and he should have his own ongoing series or make him the leader of a good Thunderbolts team and not that crap Daniel Way is writing. Also he could appear in S.H.I.E.L.D tv series, he was an agent back in his early days along side with his wife, so they can introduce him as an agent in season 2 and give him some protagonism and after a copule of seasons show the tragedy accident that lead him to be Taskmaster.

Taskmaster = probably most underrated villain in the Marvel universe and has been for a long, long time.

"Still can't believe what a cheap way they chose to make Fury black. And, like, what for?"

Technically, they didn't. They contrived a story in order to give Nick Fury one more illegitimate child that they could then turn into a Sam Jackson Fury lookalike as, well, the Ultimate Version is just not seen by that many readers.

Basically, it's synergy. They want potential comic buyers to see things in the comics that look familiar from other media like the movies and (in some cases) the cartoons.

Since they're not about to retcon the original Nick Fury, they mocked up a second Fury with a more familiar visual scheme.

Not one of Nick Fury's best ideas.
