@ Jobin

Wow...

1. Cyclops doesn't shoot lasers.

2. His power is strong enough to destroy an entire sentinel in one shot. Its even been described as being able to pulverize Adamantium.

3. He's one of the two best leaders in the Marvel Universe. The other being Captain America. If it wasn't for Cyclops' leadership then the X-Men would have died countless times. Iron Man himself has described Cyclops' leadership as being so good that it could almost be a 2nd mutation the way he analyzes every situation and reacts with the absolute best outcome.

4. Anyone that judges a character by their power alone is needs to look at the big picture.

5. If you aren't going to like something, at least be educated on WHY you dont like it.

And for [frick]s sake, can we just get rid of the giant X on his face and give him his visor back? His costume is awesome except for that.

Well it's a pretty freaking awesome power.

Also they need to decide once and for all if Cyclops new costume is black or dark red.

@ Storyteller

Absolutely. Cyke's power is ridiculously strong. There are also much worse powers to be stuck with. Which is why Jobin's comment was crazy. He doesn't even know what Cyke's power is or what it can do.

@Corngdog Well said, also I agree we need to get rid of it.

What ship is that in the picture? Totally looks like "Serenity". lol

I don't mind the X visor but his new duds do look much better without it:

Seems like cosplayers may prefer it too:

Cyclops has been my favorite X-Man since day 1 (which for me would be 1988),his incredible leadership skills aside his power also creates a vulnerability to the character that makes him that much more interesting. And he is one of the only other mutants (Xavier and Magneto aside)that has the charisma to sway others to his cause. In short,he's a badass.

Thats a good point. When you look at all Mutant leaders, it really does come down to those 3.

Right. His eyes are doorways to another dimension thats constantly producing the concussive force that spills out of his eyes when he ooens them.

Cyclops does metabolize solar energy, its what allows him to open the apertures to the red energy dimension that are housed in his eyes.

Pity we'll never see Cyclops done proper justice in the films... Another reason why I can't take Fox-Men seriously.

X-Cutioner's Song part 9 says exactly that.

He also blew off Wolverine's hand in Age of Apocalypse.

I guess logan's tendon in his hand not being made of adamanitum makes sense as to why Cyclops was able to blow it off. I forgot why it didn't regenerate though.
