"Run, Goblin, Run!" Part 2 of 2
• How has the Hobgoblin evaded the Superior Spider-Man for so long? And does that hold the key to the Superior Spider-Man’s greatest success -- or greatest failure? It’s the end of the line for Hobgoblin, and possibly an end for a big chapter in the history of Spider-Man.

I hope Scarlet Spider breaks Ock's neck again when they meet up this month in Scarlet Spider #20. Do it for Peter Parker fans Kaine. Do it for us.

Wow. Way to go, Otto-- outing a homicidal supervillain who happens to work alongside some of Peter Parker's closest friends. With no regard for what he'd do to any of them if he was cornered there.

Seriously. F%$# this comic.

Ock learns the true meaning of being a hero... by killing people like he did when he was a villain *rolls eyes* this is the worst thing to come out of marvel now, and one of the reasons i stopped reading marvel altogether, i gave it a few issues but i havent been impressed.

@superbat777 There is still lots of great stuff in Marvel Now. Don't stop reading because of this one crappy series.

I'd rather watch Glee than have to sit through another Dan Slott comic. Ugh...

Otto, what the hell is wrong with you? Have you lost your mind? You just exposed a supervillain's identity to the public and requested that the citizens of NYC help bring him in. He's a supervillain, you dumbass. If some ordinary citizen tries to apprehend the Hobogoblin, he will kill that person. Also, you just put everybody Ulrich has relations to at risk of being maimed or killed.

Why exactly do people think this moron is better than Peter Parker again?

because he's an interesting character in a compelling story.

TheFox - Ummm...It's Doctor [frick]ing Octopus. Since when did he care about Parker's friends or anybody else for that matter? He's a villain trapped inside Spidey's body. And you think he should have some remorse about putting Parker's friends in jealousy? Are you retarded?

@Maestro- Still, revealing his identity was dumb. Now he's cornered and will kill anyone who stands in his way. All because Otto exposed him.

@Maestro has a good point though.

Ock knows that he had to ditch his gear because it was messed with and wear his civilian clothes to hide from Spidey.

If we read that, we'd know that.

If nothing else, this book certainly is unpredictable. There have been more than a few major moments where things happen that I really haven't seen coming, and really do matter to the story. Spidey killing, MJ bascially leaving as a major character, Peter going bye bye, Some of Ock's tactics, it's really interesting to see just what he'll do next.

this whole superior spiderman thing is a ploy by marvel to turn people off of spidey and put the focus on iron man and the other characters in their movies

just as in avengers vs. x-men, where the reader pretty much aligns themselves on the avengers pov, rooting for them over the x-men

then how come superior is their most succesfull comic?

@duhdaduh that actually makes alot of sense but I pray it's not true. Spider-Man and xmen are my favorite marvel characters along wit thor.

I don't like this book or the idea of ock being spiderman but it's not the worst thing they got going and with miles coming to the 616 I see some really great stories coming. I really can't wait to see who finds out and what ensues.

I for one find this series pretty entertaining, it's one of the few Marvel Now comics I consistently read. Ock is no Peter and he never will be, but I'm interested to see where this goes. We all know Peter is going to come back eventually, and it will be interesting to see how he handles the more than likely tarnished reputation he'll have by then, and redeem himself in the eyes of the public.

........I think some people are missing the point that Ock is not a great guy. The point is to make Peter Parker come off like a damn godly saint when his mind is back on track.

I can't stand this run, but I buy it. I have. I have collected Spider-Man for 22 years. People buy Spidey regardless of the story. That's why it's always a best seller.

I don't read Superior Spider-Man so I can't comment on the quality of the book (I'm getting my Spidey fix from the Ultimate Universe).

But do sales really mean quality though? I mean I remember after World War Hulk, Jeph Loeb's atrocious Red Hulk "mystery" was selling like a mofo.

Anyways I'll give Superior a shot sometime

Scarlet Spider and Thor are the best lines in Marvel right now. Marvel just isn't what it used to be.
