"AVENGERS and NEW AVENGERS are really just two sides of the same book, of the same story. Thematically, they’re aligned too. AVENGERS is about life and NEW AVENGERS is about death. That’s what the two books are. It’s a big book. In the AVENGERS, we tackle the biggest things." ---Jonathan Hickman

"This is yet another parallel universe Hyperion. This is not King Hyperion, or Supreme Power Hyperion, this is not Gruenwald's Hyperion. This is Hyperion without all that baggage. This is Hyperion with a fresh slate, for a very specific purpose. He comes out of what the big story is behind the whole Avengers three-year plan that I have. He's very important, very pivotal, and I think people are really going to dig where we go with that. He's not going to be our poor analogue for Superman." ---Jonathan Hickman

"What came out of this retreat were ideas rooted in Jonathan’s “Avengers” that have a ripple effect across the Marvel Universe. I don't want to spoil anything, but there’s a lot of connective tissue that’s slowly building between the stories in “Avengers,” “New Avengers,” "Nova," "Guardians of the Galaxy," and "Thanos Rising" that sets the stage for something seismic in the Marvel Universe." ---Axel Alonso

"The story of Infinity is sort of a direct outgrowth of the events that have been building slowly in Avengers and New Avengers. It is a big, epic, space sci-fi spectacular. It's a war fought on two fronts, as the Avengers, and most of Earth's big heroes, have to head out to the outer reaches of the cosmos to deal with a threat that's coming this way. While that is happening, seeing an opportunity, Thanos picks this moment to descend on a largely unprotected Earth, looking for that which Thanos desires." ---Tom Brevoort

Lol Spiderman changed his suit during the course of one fight ? I mean, I love the new suit, but at the beginning of the fight in the last issue, he had the former one.

Cap's new suit makes him look like Knute Rockne. It's like a bad vintage football uniform. I expect Ronald Reagan to show up with Bonzo the Chimp to save the day. I realize the not-so-clever movie tie-in but this is just poor design. Cap's powers are acrobatic in nature, why would he wear all that bulky crap?
