• Your favorite X-Man done the way you wanted to see him – in a no-holds-barred MAX series!
• Written by award-winning crime novelist Jason Starr (PUNISHER MAX, The Chill)
• In modern-day Tokyo, Logan gets pulled into a terrorist’s plot...or was he the target all along?
• A new look at Wolverine’s past!

Fans have been crying out for a MAX take on Wolverine for a long time now, after all, if any character qualifies for the more mature imprint it's surely Logan. Well next week (Oct 24th) we will finally be getting a new ongoing MAX series from writer Jason Starr, with art from Connor Willumson and Roland Boschi as well as covers by Jock. Speaking to CBR in a recent interview, Starr revealed a little of what we can expect from Wolverine MAX..

"I definitely looked for a realistic version of Wolverine and not a superhero version. I wanted a down to earth guy who could function in the real world. I wanted to give him a back story that really explains how he's been able to do that for centuries -- to integrate into society. To me, that's what those stories have -- a kind of realistic bent where this stuff could actually be happening. My main story line is about a robbery even though it will include some elements like his claws, healing factor, etc. But you would believe this could all happen in the real world. I really wanted that."

Another Wolverine #1. Yawn.

Oh, he says "F@ck". How startlingly original.

I will buy it, for sure.

Yes! Finally, a Wolverine who obviously feels pain and isn't invincible. Gotta pick this up.

Another creator who talks about "reality"...I read superhero comics for the "UN-reality"...when I want reality I walk out the f--king door into the real world.

I will check this book out & see if the writer has the talent to pull off what he claims.
