Spinning directly out of the blockbuster All-New X-Men crossover “The Trial of Jean Grey” comes the very first ongoing solo series for one of the time-travelling Original X-Men. After clashing with the Shi’ar on the edge of deep space, Scott Summers is about to encounter the last person he’d ever expect to meet – his father!

Long thought dead, Corsair, leader of that intergalactic band of misfits the Starjammers, has returned! And he’s got a new recruit in the form of his son, young Cyclops himself! Scott Summers is leaving the X-Men behind to stay in space amd learn a few valuable lessons from dad: 1) How to shave, 2) How to talk to women, 3) How to steal a Badoon spaceship.

“This books is everything Marvel is about – high stakes, intergalactic action, adventure and intrigue with the emotional core of a father and son who have to repair their relationship,” says Editor Tom Brennan. “Corsair and Cyclops are both in a bold new world – a man back from the dead and a teen out of time. They need each other now, and the universe needs them more than ever.”

Don’t miss one moment of the high adventure in deep space as Rucka & Dauterman kick off the newest cosmic adventure this May in the action packed CYCLOPS #1!

Definitely picking this one up. I hope it doesn't follow Marvel's recent trend of hipster indie artwork. I'm not familiar with the artist.

Urm, well, why not? Cyke, Corsair, space adventures, probably nice art - sounds decent.

"learn a few valuable lessons from dad: 1) How to shave, 2) How to talk to women, 3) How to steal a Badoon spaceship."

Yeah, whatever...! :D

Man at 1st I thought WOW the StaRJAMMERS! They would be so great to see live action, maybe going up against GOTG or teaming up with them. The I remembered who owns the rights...It will never happen.

Whatever happened to Hephzibah? I know she was with the X-Men for a little while after Corsair died and Havok was the leader of the Starjammers, but then I never saw her again.

Look at the guy behind Cyclops and look to the one of the poster if Amazing Spider-Man where Garfield strikes the same pose. Artist draw this picture from shot of Garfield for sure.

A cyclops origins movie was probably talked about a few years ago around the time of Origins Wolverine, along with the magneto origins that ended up being worked into First Class.

Thrilled to see that Marvel hasn't forgotten about the Badoon!
Cyclops, our teen from the past, obviously hasn't had the operation that fixes his club-foot.

I have despised Cyclops as a character for many years now. Add to this Sci-Fi spaceshippy stuff, this one is not for me. For the first time in a long time there are already a few X titles not on my list.
