COMICS: Say Goodbye To Thor, Meet The New God Of Thunder!

As we suspected after seeing the preview for Fear Itself #6, The Mighty Thor is, umm, indisposed. Check out a look at his replacement..

I use the word "dead" loosely because even if the character is deceased we all know he wont stay that way for long. But regardless, in the latest issue of Fear Itself lets just say Thor is taken out of the picture.

And taking over his duties as the God Of Thunder is this gentlemen..

As you can see Tanarus will make his debut in Matt Fraction's Thor #8. What do you make of this?

The Thor comics are pretty decent right now, if you're gonna kill anyone off, kill Hulk, or atleast some of the Hulks. His comics are lame right now.

@Name: I probably wouldn't have clicked on this article if the spoiler wasn't in the title. I'm glad this showed a spoiler, since I'm not reading Fear Itself, and it may have been awhile till I discovered this reveal.

@ncreb- I think his most recent death was in '04, during Ragnarok and Avengers Disassembled. Seems a bit soon to be taking him out of the picture again... epecially replacing him with whatever the hell that thing is.

Thor?

I'm sure I'm missing some, but I'm getting sick of these gimmicky big character deaths. Why kill off Thor when he's just started bringing in the money? I'll never understand the ridiculous decisions Marvel makes...

Are you [frick]ing kidding me??? He just came back and now he's dead again. I'm seriously getting [frick]ing sick of Marvel killing everyone off for story. If they can't write a story where no one dies, then they need to hire people who [frick]ing can.
