Looks like Captain America will be giving the Superior Spider-Man his Avengers pink slip this April in the latest MarvelNOW teaser for 2013. Are Slott and Marvel trying to return Spider-Man to his outcast status?

Slott and Ramos this April. Will Spider-Man simply be fired or are The Avengers coming after him? Looking at the progression of Spider-Man, one has to wonder if the entire Doc Ock bodyswap situation is simply a means to return Spider-Man to his loner, outcast status. Prior to Dying Wish, Parker was enjoying unprecedented success as both Peter and Spider-Man which goes against how he's traditionally depicted. Perhaps Ock-Spidey will hit rock bottom just in time for the real Peter Parker to return?

Hate SS with a passion. This does not help (though Spidey has been wayyyy overused lately and makes sense story-wise), are they just going to give up on him? Will no character see that something is CLEARLY & COMPLETELY WRONG?!

i read superior spider-man. it's good. don't judge a book by it's cover. most of you are kind of stupid for raging, if you want a spoiler that will calm you down and make you stop acting like a bunch of idiots then tell me.

For th few people that like this there are so many more that hate it. Therefore tis has not worked in marvels favour. They can change iron man, cap , captain marvel,venom but never Spider-Man. I have just read #700 and it was just crap. I have Ben reading Spidey for 25 years and this just all went wrong with one more day. MJS was doing brilliant things with the character. 'The other' storyline was excellent. I'd take another clone saga over this pile of s(!7t . Well the scarlet spider shall be be my Spider-Man of choice from now on. Thank you mister dan slott

Even though Doc Ock stealing Parker's body was stupid, I do look forward to seeing how everything does play out
However, still doesn't change the fact that Marvel treats Spider-man like garbage. Hopefully when Parker does return, Marvel will treat him with a bit more respect

Loner outcast status? Spider-Man has always had a good friend base within the Marvel U. Commonly teaming up with the Avengers, X-Men, and the FF, especially Johnny Storm.

Maybe they are just trying to rape good ol' Spidey in the ass with this whole Doc Ock thing a lil longer before they have to do a complete reboot.

It'd be easy for Marvel. Just let Galactus eat the Universe in it's entirety triggering the rebirth of the universe. (in otherwords allow him to eat it and then fart cause lets be honest its better than this shit)

so since spidey is not himself and i guess you could say taken over by a different entity then he should be locked up and put in a jail just like he did to cyke right. and wolvie can come down every day and try to act like some cool drinking james dean and want to kill him and pass judgement but then act all cool and like nothing happend. Then maybe they can reboot spider and then have him be a villian and cap will recuit MJ and aunt May to the avengers to tell the public that not all of spiderman is bad. how about we have a complete reboot of capt. america and have him booted from the avengers for incomptence.

I'm guessing, when Doc Ock's body expired, with Peter in it, wouldn't Peter Parker be sent to Hell???? He and MJ did sell their marriage to Mephisto to keep Aunt May from dying of a bullet wound, and Mephisto always enjoyed seeing Parker suffer, sooo, is Peter in Hell???

If you are a fan of any of these Heroes, and not expect them to get shit on by writers often and repeatedly, you havent been paying attention. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesnt, but you should atleast be used to it.

Uh... Cap shouldn't be giving him a pink slip he should be ARRESTING him. After all he did kill Peter Parker, not to mention all the other stuff he did. If Cap isn't smart enough to figure out that the guy in Parkers body isn't Parker than Slott is writing him wrong. If he is then Slott is not using logic.

Either way this book still sucks.
