im not one to complain but i dont like the way wolverine looks right there, thors face looks weird too. maybe its just me

Pretty pumped for this whole event.

Hopefully awesome event, not so awesome art sadly. But oh well.

I have gone to C2E2 the last couple of years and had a great time. The comic presentations are well done. The movie/TV is getting better. Having Hemsworth and the cast from Walking Dead there was great last year. I am hoping for a big Avengers push but nothing has been advertised yet. For sure a better quality than any of the crap produced by Wizard.

Yeah C2E2 is much better than wizard world or at least that's my opinion. Definitely worth the 50 bucks to check it out. Better guest, better vendors and a much better atmosphere.

The focus of this poster is a little...off.

Also, I love Olivier Coipel, so to see this IS a bit, disappointing. Still, he is a fantastic artist, people. Seriously. He's one of Marvel's top keeps. I think whoever the colorist is, however, there the one that [frick]ed everything up. Or maybe Olivier Coipel did the coloring on this too, I don't know, but it's definitely not his greatest work. Some times I think he just gets lazy, but I love his style.

Case in point:



Love the clarity and focus of his fight scenes, for the most part.



His Thor is usually a helluva lot better (in the face department).



I like the depth he usually gives to the characters. I hate that smooth surface face shit. Give me some jaw (no seriously), some three-dimension.



And, for the most part, he doesn't skimp out on the details.



But then look at this shit! None of them have any feet!! I feel like I've fallen into a comic drawn by Rob Liefeld, these two panels are so bad. The dimensions are off, no matter what (ESPECIALLY with Wolverine), and Luke doesn't even get the lower half of his body! WTF?!

In any case, OVERALL, I appreciate Olivier Coipel's artwork, but some times he does slip up. Still, I thought I should defend his honor with this comment, because that poster definitely isn't his best work. Like at all.
