Ive heard good stuff about UA so far, but it doesn't appear to be the type of story you can just jump into without knowing what's been going on. Maybe i'll pick up the trades..

The best/worst thing about this book is that it's one big story. It's followed a very cleared storyline since issue 1, but because of this I honestly can't think of a good jumping on point. Great book though!

Superb artwork, rather reminiscent of 60s newspaper comic strips styles like Garth, Barbarella and Modesty Blaise.

Great book. For me this and Mighty Avengers are two of the best Avengers books I've read in a while. I really like Hickman's books too, but they're taking a looong time to get to the point. I guess Remender is too but a lot of cool stuff has happened along the way.

My advice, just pick up an issue - any issue - and catch up. That's how it used to be done. You bought a book and started reading. The not knowing where stuff came from is what prompts the hunt for back issues. Or in these days sifting through wikipedia or Marvel wiki.

While I haven't been picking this up....I do hope Katie Summers makes it. She's practically the first biological child of either of the Summers brothers that was born in-continuity.

Wait until they hear Kang's battle-cry:

"LET'S GET KANG-A-LANGIN'!!!"

They'll never be able to take him seriously again.
