The announcement of the Hulk vs Beast should read as follows:

"It's the Hulk vs Beast in a...........this just in: The Beast is dead and the Hulk is rocking a pimping, blue, fur scarf."

The interior work is great. The cover...not so much.

@magnus66 yeah, I agree totally, the cat look was just bizarre. Although, I dug that whole thing about it being a byproduct of his mutation furthering itself along. Other than that, this is much cooler.

Oh so dude is not gonna die? I hope it's Jessa (whatever his last name is). It was screwed up how they made it seem like he will die. I hope this is what they meant. He dies in the sense that he is a new man.

Really dislike that black and gold armor on Iron Man, but Beast is my boy and if anyone can find a way to best the Hulk without getting turned into blue fuzzy slippers it's him.

Nice art. Reminds me a little of the early days of Image. Vivid contrasting colors, dark outlines... Clean looking. I love Jim Lee among others, but it's refreshing to get away from the art that feels so cluttered and busy with massive shading and complex architectural backdrops. Proportions look good too.

Is it me or have a lot of the Marvel comics tightened up the proportions since the movies came out? Iron Man seems so much more realistic in his proportions. The top heavy, elongated leg look seems to have faded in recent books.

That suit needs to make it into Avengers 2. Time to fully get away from the red in the movie suits.

@magnus66 I see your point. Especially when you mention the other characters attached to that same plot point, all at once. It's all a bit too much. To me, Beast was the only character it made sense with, considering he furthered his mutation himself, originally, and was now going even further.

Looks good, been enjoying this Hulk series, also been waiting to see some familiar faces. I have to say though, when you write something like "The green goliath battles Beast", and "Why do Hulk and Beast come to blows?" i almost have to laugh, Hank McCoy i love you, but there is no such thing as Beast coming to blows with the Hulk, that should be appropriately called Beast being killed by the Hulk because if it came to brawl between the two im saying the world breaker takes that absolutely hands down. I believe completely in brains over brawn but there is a limit when your talking about the Hulk. This will be interesting though haveing Hank McCoy and Bruce Banner in the same book, two of Marvel's smartest. Cant wait.

Beast's new look....

The way Ed McGuinness draws Hank in Amazing X-Men-especially when the goggles are on top of his head-makes him look like a blue Hellboy...

I hope that shit doesn't stick to Beast's fur because the Hulk is going to wipe his ass with him.

Seems to me Ant-Man can shrink down small enough to get inside Hulks body & do some serious damage or grow big enough to throw his green ass far away.

Although the Hulks internal body is probably just as strong as his exterior & even really big,Pym probably can't grab/hold onto Banner.

In the Ultimates, Wasp flew in Hulk's ear and gave him brain damage.
