have yet to read x-men 1,i have it but i haven't got round to reading it yet.

age of ultron is good but i think infinity will be better.

superior spider-man has its moments,of course everyone wants peter parker back but i have to say this hasn't been that bad a read as some like to think.

saga is my favorite comic book at the moment that everyone should be reading.

What do you know? People like the idea of an all female X-Men team. With the way some people in the industry talk, you would think this is highly implausible.

@Stubner - I think that cover price was probably a deterrent. That said, I can't imagine it wasn't in the top 20. Having a top ten loaded with twice-monthly shipping and event books is a surefire way to have it not be representative of the monthly people are excited about.

Games are even, DC rules Tv Shows though Marvel has some good animated ones.

@KryptonianAbominationClone So to put it simply, when all of Marvel and DC's actitives are comapared to each other, each compoany does something better than the other, and it makes them pretty much even.
AstonishingArachnid

Games are even. Apart from Arkham games, lego and Injustice what others are there? Marvel has Spiderman 1, 2, 3, web of shadows, shattered dimensions, Edge of time and amazing Spiderman. As well as Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2. Xmen legends 1 and 2 and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. In fact Marvel actual has games in the bag.

@TheRealRemyLebeau

Lego Marvel Heroes is being published by Warner Bros. game division ironically and please don't use games that aren't out yet as examples for why Marvel dominates games. We don't know how good or bad those games are going to be until we play them

@AstonishingArachnid

Spider-Man 1 movie tie in was okay, Spider-Man 2 movie tie in was arguably the best Spidey game ever, Spider-Man 3 movie tie in was shit. X-Men Legends 1&2 and Marve Ultimate Alliance 1 are arguably their best games. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 was just plain mediocre, the Beenox Spider-Man games have been okay but nothing to write home about. The Amazing Spider-Man movie tie in was good but I didnt like that they ripped off the Arkham games for the combat system.

I also like how you didn't mention any of the SEGA Marvel movie tie ins which are arguably some of the worst comic book games of all time and some of the worst games this generation.

What if those games are lauded as some of the best comic book games by the majority of gamers and critics? Does that count?

LEVITIKUZ - 6/9/2013, 8:31 AM
Age of Ultron is shit, Supieror Spider-Man is shit, Female X-Men is a stunt.

If it wasn't for events, Marvel wouldn't sell any comic.

Waid's Daredevil is the only good thing they have and no one buys it. Sigh.

Happy JLA is still in Top 10. The Martian Manhunter and his bitches are number 9. [frick]ing suck it.

DC needs to learn how to make a good movie universe from Marvel.Marvel needs learn how to make good animatioin from DC.

@LEVITIKUZ

Really? Only Waids Daredevil? I beg to differ, Jason Aaron's Thor God of Thunder, Bendises Ultimate Spider-Man & All-New X-Men, Hickmans Avengers & New Avengers are all really good in my opinion.
ekrolo2
ekrolo2 - 6/9/2013, 8:36 AM
@TheRealRemyLebeau

They're publishing the game because they own the developer making the game, and Disney has openly stated theyre focusing more on mobile games which is evident in them closing all of their game studios down and giving scumbags like EA the rights to Star Wars and letting Ubisoft [frick] up Avengers by making it a Kinect game.
TheWolverine08
TheWolverine08 - 6/9/2013, 8:36 AM
@LEVITIKUZ Waid's Daredevil isn't the only good thing from Marvel. There is also Thor: God of Thunder, Scarlet Spider, Female X Men isn't a "stunt" it is a good book, Hawkeye, Uncanny Avengers, New Avengers, and many more. Don't just assume.
TheWolverine08
TheWolverine08 - 6/9/2013, 8:38 AM
@KryptonianAbominationClone Check out New Avengers by Jonathan Hickman. The team isn't "meh".

@TheRealRemyLebeau

But when has Marvel made an animated movie on the level of Under the Red Hood? Or a great adaptation like the Dark Knight Returns movies? I will admit I really liked the Ultimate Avengers movies which were pretty good but those should have been a TV series in my opinion.

And whens the last time Marvel made an Arkham Asylum & City level game? All of their MCU based games have been some of the worst movie tie ins of all time, Iron Man 1 and Thor were particularly terrible IMO.

the X-Woman are the best!

Rogue, Storm, Kitty, Psylocke...

not all the heroines have to be Wonder woman to be great characters, u know

Reliant on others? Maybe, but I just use the majority of critic reviews to get a general idea of the quality of a certain product before I see/experience it. Now I often disagree with what the majority says and I don't alter my opinion simply because of a review I saw.

I just use them to get the general consensus on a product before I decide to spend money on it, most of the time though I do this without ever reading/watching a review.

Sure you can call an all female X-Men team a stunt but im glad their heroes are actually getting books now. Sure DC is called sexist since the New 52 and I cant really argue with that, but with Marvel NOW the company is actually putting female characters on the spot light.

Books like X-Force, X-Men and Fearless Defenders are letting the female Marvel heroes shine and are actually selling well. Im still pissed off about X-23s series being canceled but im glad that Marvel is learning from their mistakes.

We should be happy these characters are getting good books that sell well as Marvel has some of the strongest female characters in all of comics, particularly the X-girls.

Has anyone else been reading Fearless Defenders or Gaurdians of the Galaxy? Both are great books so far, and probably my favorite current Marvel titles.

As far as DC goes, damn near every book they're putting out is a great read. Aquaman, Red Lanterns, Nightwing, all fantastic.

@darkseidpawns Most critics and fans (including me) disagree with you about Avengers. So yea.
ekrolo2
ekrolo2 - 6/9/2013, 8:58 AM
@FreakingIntelligentRobertGriffin

Age of Apocalypse and Marvel Knights were the only good things happening to Marvel in the 90s, everything else was crap like a Loeb & Liefeld creative team on Captain America, Heroes Reborn, Clone Saga and the mech armor for Daredevil (dear god did Daredevil suck in the 90s) were all terrible.

I don't think the Ultimate universe was spawned from the movies, I think Marvel saw DCs success with Wildstorm and wanted to create their own continuity free universe just with their heroes instead of making up new ones which lead to the Ultimate Marvel.

Although Marvel did save CBMs with movies like Blade 1, X-Men 1 and Spider-Man 1 after shit like Batman & Robin and Steele effectively killed the genre in the 90s.

imo the best comic books right now are

Daredevil, which has been consistently great for many years

Thor God of Thunder, finally someone is writing the Odinson as a god and not a superhero

Aquaman, great comic book but the last issue wasn't as good as it has been

Wonder Woman, love the reboot she's a bad mofo

GOTG, although it's not as good as DNAs run, but it's early so we'll see what happens

Captain Marvel, smart, witty, action-packed

@SnyderTrite

Blame Disney for Marvels lack of games, they want to focus on mobile stuff instead of making big games to compete with what Warner Interactive is doing which is insane because while thousands read the comic, millions will play the games.

Plus games take roughly the same time to make as movies, cost FAR less and make just about as much money as movies these days. For example, Arkham City sold about 8 million copies, a game copy costs 60 dollars so thats about 480 million dollars in revenue minus the money made from DLC and such.

Marvel would be wise to get in on this but alas Disney wont let them.
